Two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry was on hand to watch his father, Dell Curry, have his No. 30 Hornets jersey retired on Thursday night.

The Charlotte Hornets retired Dell Curry's No. 30 jersey on Thursday night. Curry played for the Hornets from 1988 to 1998 and won Sixth Man of the Year in the 1993-94 season. Seth Curry and Stephen Curry, his sons, and his daughter, Sydel, were on hand for the jersey retirement ceremony.

Stephen Curry had a suggestion for the Hornets.

When asked whose jersey the Hornets should retire next, the Golden State Warriors star told the Charlotte Observer, "Muggsy and Kemba. Those are the next two ‘for sure’ guys."

Curry, 38, grew up around Tyrone "Muggsy" Bogues, who was one of Charlotte's original players, like Dell Curry, in the Hornets' 1988-89 inaugural season. Bogues went viral in 2024 for posting a throwback photo of a preteen Curry trying to defend him. Bogues played for the Hornets until the team traded him to Golden State in November 1997.

Kemba Walker was drafted No. 9 overall in 2011 by the then-Charlotte Bobcats. Walker remained in Charlotte through the franchise's rebrand back to the Hornets in 2014. All four of his All-Star seasons came with the Hornets.

Bouges is the all-time franchise leader in career assists (5,557) and steals (1,067), while Walker is the Hornets' all-time leader in minutes played (20,607), career points (12,009), made three-pointers (1,283), and more.

The Hornets have not made the playoffs since Walker was the face of the franchise in 2016. Currently, the Hornets are clinging to the No. 10 seed and final Play-In Tournament spot in the Eastern Conference.
