The Hornets Roundtable Podcast Discusses Charlotte's Exciting Blue Devil Rookies.
Josh Graham and Will Dalton co-hosts the Hornets Roundtable podcast, which will release new episodes every week on the site. Here were the topics discussed on this week’s pod:
- Continued injury woes. The Hornets were without both Brandon Miller and LaMelo Ball in Sunday's win over the Utah Jazz. Rookie Ryan Kalkbrenner also was on the injury report and his status was listed as questionable.
- Rotation adjustments. During a three-game losing streak last week, there has already been criticism of Charles Lee's rotations and substitution patterns. This includes the management of Ball's minutes and how he's deployed Charlotte's front court.
- Sion James first impression. Despite being a rookie that was taken in the second round, James was placed — given the flurry of ailments — in the starting lineup by head coach Charles Lee. James rewarded the decision by scoring 15 points, grabbing five rebounds and dishing out three assists against the Jazz.
- Kon Knueppel's historic start. Knueppel is now up to 22 made threes over the first seven games of his career, which is the most 3s for a player through seven career games. So far, he has lived up to the pick — fourth overall — he was selected in the draft.
- The week ahead. Charlotte has three games over the next week. It will travel to face winless New Orleans on Tuesday and then will jet back down to Miami to open NBA Cup play Friday. Next Monday, the circus will then visit Charlotte when the Lakers clash with the Hornets.
In addition to the Hornets Roundtable Podcast, Graham and Dalton also host weekly podcasts — and produce written content — for other local teams in the state of North Carolina.
Elsewhere in the Queen City, they cover the Carolina Panthers for Roundtable. And then in the collegiate ranks, they will have coverage for both the North Carolina Tar Heels and and Duke Blue Devils.
Roundtable would love to engage with you on the Hornets. Please comment on our posts, follow Graham (@JoshGrahamShow) and Dalton (@TheWillDalton) on X and Instagram or create your own community posts.
