Top picks Darryn Peterson and Cam Boozer headline a talent-heavy roster of elite prospects ready to make their professional debuts at the University of Utah this July.

The Salt Lake City Summer League is shaping up to be one of the most talent‑heavy editions in its history, with multiple top prospects expected to headline the four‑team event next week. Early roster indications point to a field that includes two top‑three picks, several first‑rounders and a collection of highly regarded international and collegiate players.

For the Utah Jazz, the focus centers on No. 2 pick Darryn Peterson, who is expected to make his professional debut in Salt Lake City. Peterson has not played in a game since March and said during his introductory press conference that he is “super excited to go out there and compete” as he begins his transition into Will Hardy’s system. The Jazz could also feature Ace Bailey and Cody Williams, though the team has not yet confirmed their participation.

Memphis projects to bring one of the most intriguing groups as No. 3 pick Cam Boozer is expected to headline the Grizzlies’ roster, giving the event back‑to‑back top‑three selections on the floor. Memphis could also feature Karim Lopez, Walt Clayton and Cedric Coward.

Atlanta’s roster is expected to include Kingston Flemings, Zuby Ejiofor, Henri Veesar and Asa Newell. Meanwhile, Oklahoma City rounds out the field with another set of notable prospects as Aday Mara, the 7‑foot‑3 Spanish center, is expected to anchor the Thunder’s frontcourt during the Salt Lake Summer League. Bennett Stirtz, a skilled wing with shooting upside, is also slated to join the group.

If rosters hold as expected, the event could feature two top‑three picks in Peterson and Boozer, multiple first‑round talents, several international prospects with professional experience and a mix of returning Summer League standouts.

For the Salt Lake City Summer League, a combination of high‑end rookies could see this year’s event as one of the strongest in recent memory. The event will take place on July 4-7 at the University of Utah’s Huntsman Center, giving the four-team field a chance to tune up their squads before heading to Vegas. Once in Vegas, the Jazz will open play on July 9 against Washington, in which Peterson will face off against No. 1 pick AJ Dybantsa before facing the Clippers, Bulls and Spurs.

The full Salt Lake Summer League rosters will be finalized in the coming days, but early indications point to a stacked field, giving the Jazz faithful a genuine look at the new face of their franchise and a meaningful first glimpse at the next wave of NBA talent overall.
