Sacramento has a five-game slide to snap. Here's where to watch the Knicks game and betting preview.
The Sacramento Kings toppled the New York Knicks already.
But that was 13 days ago...and during their now extinct four-game winning streak.
Now the Kings are heading to Madison Square Garden having lost five in a row. NBC Sports California will have the action set for 4:30 p.m. PT. The MSG Network will air the game for the east coast audience.
Here's Fernie Ruano with the betting preview:
Let’s be honest: Sacramento is closer to outfitting Cameron Boozer with a welcoming and shiny purple jersey in mid-June than having anything to do with the postseason in two and a half months.
But for the sake of positivity — on Roundtable Sports (Sacramento Kings edition) — and time management, as the team’s marketing department is likely swamped thinking up creative ideas on how to sell a professional basketball team already eyeing next April’s NBA Draft, how does ‘Kings of New York’ sound for the 2025-26 Sacramento Kings Season in Review?
Well, all the huge road underdog Kings (12-35) have to pull off — to get the video content creators back on fourth floor of the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel scurrying about— is turn the tables on US oddsmakers everywhere again and take down the New York Knicks (27-18) at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.
Sacramento (+13.5, -112), on a nine-game road losing skid, is +525 on the moneyline. The over/under is 230.5 points (over, -115, under, -105) for the 7:30 p.m. (ET) tipoff, as per DraftKings Sportsbook.
The up and down Kings, not only looking to avoid their sixth straight loss, but stepping on the basketball court amid swirling trade rumors surrounding some of their star players including Domantas Sabonis and DeMar DeRozan, are coming off an embarrassing 139-116 defeat vs. the Detroit Pistons on Sunday afternoon.
Sacramento. as per usual, changing up their starting lineup, which included Sabonis for the first time since his return from a partially torn meniscus, and playing awful defense, gave up 38 points in the second quarter to the Pistons, who shot 54.9% from the floor for the game.
The Kings, non-competitive for much of the second half, allowed eight Pistons to score in double-figures, including Cade Cunningham's team-leading 29. Now, Sacramento, 4-6 in their last 10 games and 5-5 against the spread during the same span, has to turn its attention to a Knicks squad looking for its third straight victory after a tough start to the month of January, which recently even required a players-only meeting. The Knicks (-13.5, -108), coming off an impressive 112-109 road win over the 76ers over the weekend, after blowing out the Brooklyn Nets last week, are 21-23-1 against the spread this season.
New York is 4-6 in their last 10 games. The 36-year-old DeRozan, a six-time All-Star in his 17th NBA season, who made 12 of 13 free throws and passed Kevin Garnett on the all-time scoring list with 26,077 career points (at the time) In the Kings 112-101 win over the Knicks on January 14, is averaging 18.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game this season.
Sacramento has 17 victories -- against the spread -- in 47 games this season. F Keegan Murray (ankle) continues to be out, while Zach LaVine and Malik Monk are questionable for the Kings.
Kings vs. Knicks betting analysis:
Boy, the Knicks are hot (again) and the Kings. who have the look of a team already dreaming of the 2026 NBA Draft, are not. So, I would pass on all Kings-Knicks game bets.
However, I would take a look at going under 230.5 points - at the right price.
