Kings suffer 15th straight loss, setting a franchise record. Magic shatter their own three-point record in the blowout.

In their first contest since the All-Star break, the Sacramento Kings were already back to making history throughout their 128-94 blowout defeat against the Orlando Magic on Thursday night.

Sacramento fell for a 15th consecutive game, establishing a new mark for the longest losing streak in franchise history. Even Keegan Murray's anticipated return from a 20-game injury absence couldn't motivate the Kings' most impactful players to avoid breaking new ground in the loss column.

Murray had a nice night, finishing with 15 points and eight rebounds in 31 minutes of action. The Kings were led by rising rookie center Maxime Raynaud from start to finish. The second-round pick poured in a team-high 17 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, notching his 9th double-double of his debut campaign.

Precious Achiuwa scored an efficient 14 points, hauled in nine rebounds, swiped four steals and rejected two shots in a shade under 34 minutes. Microwave scorer Malik Monk contributed 14 points of his own in 20 minutes on 5-for-8 shooting.

Orlando's band of versatile two-ways talents even made some history of their own, pouring salt into the wound further. 2024 All-Star forward Paolo Banchero dropped a game-high 30 points in uncharacteristic fashion, connecting on five of his seven attempts from three-point range.

Banchero's hot shooting was contagious. As a unit, the Magic knocked down an unreal 27 threes against a Kings defense offering little to no resistance on the perimeter, setting a franchise record for three-pointers made in a single game.

Incredibly enough, Orlando's previous record of 25 hits from outside also came while visiting the Kings on Jan. 3, 2024.

The Magic's scoring attack came from all angles and sides, as the Kings were blitzed by Anthony Black's 20-point night, Desmond Bane's 17 and Jett Howard's 14 on a perfect 6-for-6 night from the floor.

Sacramento's No. 24 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft Nique Clifford struggled to find a rhythm offensively after coming in off the bench behind DeMar DeRozan (13 points, six assists), only managing to hoist up five shots and sink one. Clifford ended with five points on those five shots and registered a team-worst -32 plus-minus in 30 minutes.

Devin Carter also struggled mightily with putting the ball in the basket, shooting 3-for-12 and committing a few ugly turnovers in the second half.

As the streak lives to see another day, Kings head coach Doug Christie leaves this matchup against a red-hot Magic squad knowing one thing for certain -- Raynaud is for real.

His rebounding prowess and impeccable touch around the rim was on full display against a stout Magic defensive unit, one that never fails to bring physicality in the frontcourt.
