The Sacramento Kings shocked the Houston Rockets. They now host the powerhouse Detroit Pistons. Can Sacramento's home surge continue against Detroit's elite squad? Betting insights revealed.

Sacramento Kings fans still sold on making trips to the Golden 1 Center are definitely getting their money’s worth these days.

So are NBA bettors, who caught the Western Conference’s current 13th seed as 11.5-point home underdogs before the Kings (7-22), down 14 points in the fourth quarter, rallied to stun the Houston Rockets 125-124 in OT on Sunday night, snapping a five-game losing streak to improve to 4-9 overall at home.

The Kings, trailing 78-68 late in the third quarter, also cashed out at +475 while sending the point total of 223.5 over - for the second time in three games - with the help of DeMar DeRozan’s 27 points.

Sacramento’s reward for knocking off the Rockets, who the Kings caught playing on back-to-back nights, but nonetheless are one of the top teams in the Western Conference?  A visit from the Eastern Conference's top squad in the Detroit Pistons (23-6).

The Kings (+8, -106), once again a home dog, are +300 on the money line, while the Pistons are -395.

The over/under total is (-228, o -110, u -110)  for the 10:00 p.m. (ET) tip-off, the first between the Pistons and Kings this season.

Despite covering the betting line in most US Sports books in their last three games, the Kings are just 10-19 against the spread.

However, the Kings, 4-9 at home this season and who have made some changes to their starting lineup in recent days, including inserting guard Dennis Schroder in place of Malik Monk, did defeat the Pistons last April.

Most recently, Sacramento, 2-8 in their last 10 games and against the spread at home, scored a straight up win, secured by Schroder, who scored a three-point field goal with 3.1 seconds remaining in OT.

Sacramento, 1-4 in their last five games, continue to be without Domantas Sabonis (meniscus tear), who recently suffered a setback and will be reevaluated in 4-5 weeks, as per ESPN.

Zach LaVine, the subject of swirling trade rumors despite recently suffered an ankle sprain, is the Kings' leading scorer at 20.2 points per game.

Detroit, coming off an impressive 110-102 road win over the Portland Trail Blazers despite blowing a 21-point lead, will be playing back-to-back road games on the opposite coast as big favorites.

Detroit did get 26 points and 10 rebounds from Jalen Duran to improve to 21-4 in their last 25 games.

Cade Cunningham leads the Pistons with 26.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Pistons F Ronald Holland II (knee) is likely to undergo an MRI in Sacramento.

This spot for the Kings, playing their third straight home game after a short road trip, stands out to me from a betting perspective as Sacramento and Detroit sport similar digits in their individual season records, respectively. Only, slightly flipped around.

Additionally, the Kings, who just missed covering the number vs. the Trail Blazers on Saturday night, if +4.5 was the best you could get, did cover +9.5 at Portland, Thursday night before taking down Houston as huge dogs (+11.5) in most sports books.

Sacramento, despite a 134-133 loss at Portland last Thursday night, covered at +9.

This is a buy low, cash high situation with the Kings, now having had several days to settle back in their home digs.

Especially, with the Pistons, not only overcoming a 21-point deficit last night in Portland, but in a back-to-back situation in this spot vs. the Kings.
