The Sacramento Kings (5-14) visit the Utah Jazz (5-12) at Delta Center in Salt Lake City Friday night. Tip-off for the NBA Cup group stage matchup is 9:30 p.m. (ET).
The Kings (+1.5), back on the road after a 112-100 loss to vs. the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, are currently short underdogs and (+105, bet $100 to win $105) on the money line.
Utah (-1.5), a rare home favorite in this spot, is (-130, bet $130, win $100) is to cash the money.
The Kings, 2-8 overall in their last 10 games, which includes a home loss to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.
This comes after erasing a 10-point late in the fourth period to stun the Minnesota Timberwolves 117-112 in overtime on Monday.
Sacramento, a respectable 7-11-1 against the spread this season despite covering in just three of their previous 11 games and currently being the 13th seed in the Western Conference, is 2-8 on the road.
The Kings last road win came last Saturday, when as 10.5 point underdogs they defeated the Denver Nuggets, 128-123.
Furthermore, the Kings, who went into Wednesday night’s game averaging 112.3 points per game on offense, are 5-2-1 against the spread and 4-4 overall when scoring more than 113 points.
Utah, on a four game losing streak, is 4-5 at home this season, which includes a 150-147 OT win vs. the Chicago Bulls - on November 16.
Sacramento star forward Domantas Sabonis (partially torn left knee meniscus) is out, while guard Dennis Schroder (hip) is questionable for tonight’s game.
Jazz center Walker Kessler (left shoulder surgery) is out for the season and forward George Niang (left foot) is on the shelf for another 10-14 days.
The Kings TV broadcast is on NBC Sports California with Mark Jones (play-by-play), if not Kyle Draper, and Katie Christensen (color analyst) handling all duties.
The Kings, while competitive, for the most part, especially against the Timberwolves and Nuggets, are hard to trust in this spot, even as a short underdog against another Western Conference bottom-feeder such as the Jazz. Utah is currently the 11th seed in the conference.
Sacramento, playing its third game in five days, is also a team in rebuilding mood, with every player on the roster except Keegan Murray on the trading block.

It even includes Kings forward DeMar DeRozan, who scored a team-high 33 points, including two late free throws to send the game into overtime, in Sacramento’s come-from-behind home win over the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier this week. He was held to 10 points in a blowout loss to Phoenix on Wednesday, and is rumored to be on the way out of Sac-Town.
Prior to facing the Suns, DeRozan, currently playing on a three-year, $ 73 million extension and apparently high on general manager Scott Perry’s list of trade candidates, largely because of his contract, was averaging 19.2 points per during a five-game stretch, including scoring in double figures three times.
