Sacramento Kings fans would rush to the nearest sports clothing store if Giannis Antetokounmpo jersey's were available.
The "Greek Freak" is spinning the wheels on the trade rumor mill, as it gained new steam on Wednesday night. He's likely going to hear countless of suitors lining up trade packages for the Milwaukee Bucks' mega star and past NBA champion.
The Kings and Scott Perry likely will gather and see what type of deal they can put together. After all, Sacramento has left many fans believing a roster blowup should take place amid the slow start.
But count CBS Sports NBA writer Sam Quinn ruling out any possibility of the Kings going after him -- or Antetokounmpo landing there.
Quinn placed the Kings as the 29th-best team to land the "Greek Freak." Or as Quinn verbally illustrated, Antetokounmpo isn't heading to the state capitol of California.
"We won't waste much time here. Congratulations to the Kings on being the least desirable team for an MVP-caliber player in the NBA. It's a title they've held for much of the past two decades. They're bad, they're poorly run and they play in a small market," Quinn wrote.
Granted, Kings fans can present the counterargument that Antetokounmpo plays in a small market city anyway -- as Milwaukee isn't considered a glitz and glamour city compared to larger markets like Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia or Chicago.
Still, Perry and head coach Doug Christie likely would need to create a fire sale among the Kings' roster to grab the transcendent star.
It could even mean sending Keegan Murray or Malik Monk as part of a possible deal. Sacramento has seen Murray spark his points. Perry/Christie has a building block for the future here.
Doubtful aging veterans like Russell Westbrook and Demar DeRozan would become of interest on the side of the Bucks. DeRozan has been linked as a possible trade idea. Even Zach LaVine for Antetokounmpo will likely ignite some fans blasting such a deal.
So Sacramento is the least likeliest place to land the forward. The Charlotte Hornets, meanwhile, are the one Eastern Conference team with the lowest chances of grabbing him.
"The Hornets are bad and in a small market, but they're at least seemingly operated like a normal franchise now. The same goes for the Wizards, but Washington is more desirable than Charlotte," Quinn wrote.
But again, Kings fans hoping to get their hands on an Antetokounmpo jersey have their bubbles bursting. The "Greek Freak" likely seeks a contender -- hence why the Knicks rose as the top destination.
