The Sacramento Kings have one roster spot remaining. Could free agent point guard Gabe Vincent be the answer?

The Sacramento Kings will have a lot of different faces getting a majority of the playing time this season, with starters like DeMar DeRozan and Russell Westbrook moving on.

Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis also return from very limited action last season, playing alongside rookie point guard Darius Acuff Jr.

The bench unit should be much-improved as well, with 14 of 15 official roster spots currently filled.

On Wednesday, Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer reported that veteran point guard Gabe Vincent is one of the potential targets in the mix for Sacramento.

Vincent started his career with the Miami Heat in 2019 as an undrafted free agent, playing with the franchise during their Eastern Conference Finals run and championship berth.

In 44 career playoff games with Miami, Vincent shot nearly 36% from 3-point range, averaging 9.7 points and 3.1 assists per contest.

He had his most successful stretch during Miami's 2023 NBA Finals run, averaging over 12 points per game and shooting the long ball at a 37.8% clip.

After carving out a significant role with these successful squads, Vincent joined the Los Angeles Lakers on a 3-year contract worth $33 million.

He did not see much action due to injury in his opening campaign, appearing in just 11 games.

Vincent would play in just 102 games over his three-year tenure in Los Angeles, never really finding his footing alongside the Lakers' ball-dominant players.

In February of last season, Vincent was dealt to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Luke Kennard, helping the team give the eventual champion New York Knicks a bit of a scare.

Vincent made a 3-pointer in four of six games, while scoring a series-high ten points in a Game 5 loss.

Adding Vincent to the Kings would give the team another "culture builder," joining a group of players that General Manager Scott Perry has targeted through the draft.

Vincent's time in Miami gives him valuable playoff experience, while he has shown the ability to make shots from distance in the past.

The most-recent Kings' signing of Ben Simmons adds another player who can handle the ball, but it remains to be seen how the former Rookie of the Year will be utilized.

Vincent would give head coach Doug Christie another ball handler who can initiate the offense for the bench unit behind Acuff.

He would also be on a team-friendly contract, likely looking at a veteran minimum deal.
