Sacramento targets a franchise point guard at No. 7 and seeks versatile length in the second round to transform their roster before the clock starts ticking.
All offseason, we have covered the various prospects in range of the Sacramento Kings' No. 7, 34, and 45 overall picks.
On Tuesday, the 2026 NBA Draft kicks off, with the Kings hoping to land their lead guard of the future and supplement the roster later in the draft.
While changing their draft position remains a possibility, here are the final projections should the team stay put.
Darius Acuff Jr. (No. 7 Overall)
While various teams have showed interest in the reigning SEC Player of the Year, no franchise has been more public about Acuff's standing than the Kings.
After reportedly being "enamored" with Acuff after the NBA Draft combine and in-house workouts, the Arkansas star had become the Kings' top target.
This past Thursday, Yahoo Sports podcaster and writer Kevin O'Connor reported that Acuff feels strongly about the franchise too, noting that his camp wants him to land in Sacramento.
Acuff would provide a much-needed level of offensive firepower to the Kings backcourt, while bringing high expectations along with him.
After a 28-point, 13-assist performance against the Longhorns, Acuff received high praise from Texas head coach Sean Miller.
"In my time -- and I'll just go 34 years -- I've never seen a point guard better," Miller said. "People talk about who's going to be the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft or who's the best player in the conference. ... This No. 1 pick thing, I don't know why people aren't talking about him more. I can't imagine anybody better."
Baba Miller (No. 34 Overall)
Miller has been one of the biggest risers in the second round, mocking as a fringe first-rounder in the latest updated drafts.
The 6-foot-11 point forward averaged a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double, while his 3.7 assists per game led the team.
Miller's ability to handle the ball for his size is unique, and his scoring upside is tangible.
Throughout the pre-draft process, Miller has been a popular name for Sacramento, who needs length and versatility on the perimeter.
Trevon Brazile (No. 45 Overall)
Staying on the same thought process, the Kings would benefit from Brazile's athletic and defensive talent.
While Sacramento's front court would get a bit crowded, Brazile's style of play differs from the rest of the Kings' bigs.
Brazile has a modern-day forward's build, standing at 6-foot-10, 230 pounds with a near 7-foot-4 inch wingspan.
His length allows him to impact shots on the defensive end, while rising up for highlight dunks on offense.
Brazile never averaged less than 1.1 blocks per game in his five-year career, while also nearly averaging a steal.
With continued development on his jump shot, Brazile could play a style similar to the Cleveland Cavaliers' Evan Mobley.
This haul of Acuff, Miller, and Brazile would provide Sacramento with offensive versatility in the front court and a bonafide scoring point guard, filling multiple needs and giving the Sac Town faithful something to cheer about.
