Sacramento rolls into Toronto searching for its 20th win. Here's where to watch and the betting preview.
We begin with a development involving the Sacramento Kings.
It appears the franchise has seen the last of Russell Westbrook this season. He's been ruled out for Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors with his current toe ailment. Signs are indicating he'll be shut down for the rest of the season, though not official yet.
Obviously, his missing presence adds to a litany of injuries on the Kings' side.
Already the franchise is without Domantas Sabonis (who nearly became a Raptor by the NBA's Trade Deadline), Zach LaVine, Drew Eubanks, De'Andre Hunter, plus Keegan Murray.
Even DaQuan Jeffries is ruled out according to Kings insider Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee. But the reason isn't injury related. Anderson revealed Jeffries has been reassigned to the G-League.
Once again, it's a depleted Kings lineup heading to Toronto and one of the louder arenas in the NBA. And this Raptors team is well built for an upcoming playoff run.
Toronto sits at 42-33 overall with seven games left and facing landing the No. 5 seed at the highest in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors also are fresh off a road trip to Detroit where they gave the Pistons all they can handle, but fell 127-116.
The Raptors are still a heavy favorite to beat the Kings. FanDuel lists the Kings as the 12.5-point underdog in this contest.
But Toronto will face a familiar face and one who's on the brink of history.
DeMar DeRozan is back in "The Six" and continues to move up on the all-time scoring list.
"DeRozan has already passed a number of the game’s greatest players this season, including Vince Carter, Kevin Garnett, John Havlicek, Paul Pierce and Tim Duncan. DeRozan currently ranks 18th with 26,660 points. He needs nine points to pass Dominique Wilkins for 17th and 51 points to pass Oscar Robertson for 16th," writes Anderson.
Although he's dealing with right hamstring soreness heading into the contest. But the Kings have cleared him to play.
This game is going to be offered via NBA League Pass. Once again, the premium ($114.99) offers more in-arena access with no commercials. Standard ($79.99) features more commercials and less in-arena access.
Sacramento heads into the final month of regular season action simply aiming to finish strong. Because the NBA Draft chatter especially ahead of The Final Four on Saturday is heating up for the Kings.
