The Sacramento Kings may have lost a tiebreaker draft scenario with the Utah Jazz. But they can still land the Duke star especially after this comprehensive breakdown.

The Sacramento Kings took one more loss in 2025-26, but this one involving a tiebreaker with the Utah Jazz.

That doesn't officially rule out the Kings landing inside the top five, though. Or even first overall.

KingsRoundtable has presented multiple NBA draft ideas this April ranging from Keaton Wagler of Illinois, Kingston Flemings of Houston, Darius Acuff of Arkansas, and Darryn Peterson of Kansas as top-five options. Even Utah's tiebreaker win doesn't complete rule out the Kings landing inside the first five picks.

However, that doesn't mean it's guaranteed Sacramento will land near No. 1. This Jazz win has sparked theories of the Kings falling as low as No. 9.

Regardless, we continue to think about the talents who could change the franchise with their play. Which now leads into how Cameron Boozer of Duke can really fit Sacramento.

Dominating Stats

There are front offices in the league that attempt to not get caught up with stats.

But it's hard to dismiss what Boozer did on a roster filled with past blue chip recruits.

His 22.5 points per game along with 10.2 rebounds handed him top 12 national marks. And Boozer delivered that production while facing one of the toughest schedules in America.

He never fell below 13 points in a game while also not dropping under five rebounds.

These stats paint this transparent picture: Boozer wants the ball, regardless if its under the hoop or when it clanks off the rim.

Boozer a Ball-Stopper?

That term doesn't apply to him, either.

Boozer proves he's selfless on the floor, distributing the ball at a high level.

He averaged 4.1 assists per game but has hit nine or eight assists before in a game. He knows when to get his teammates involved during games.

The Michigan game is a prime example of Boozer's selfless side, as he beat the eventual national champs off all three phases of scoring, rebounding and distributing.

Boozer can Ignite Offenses

Need someone running pick-and-roll? Boozer is the guy.

Want a spot-up shooter? Even in the post? Boozer provides that.

Heck, need a long-range shooter? He can hand your team this element too.

Boozer scores in a variety of ways. But adds a high basketball IQ in knowing where to place the basketball and how to attack defenses. Playing at Duke didn't just give him that edge, but also being raised by nine-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer.

Any Area of Concern?

Boozer comes off as one of the more complete talents entering the NBA Draft. But he does have his own flaws.

Some teams exposed his defensive game, especially in losses. Teams that resort to "bully ball" tactics got to Boozer. Although he can catch shot attempts from behind and deliver the swat, as seen here versus UConn.

While he can score from anywhere, he's not the most explosive to the hoop. Which leaves fans wondering if he can execute a high number of blow bys.

Can Boozer fit Kings?

His name carries fanfare and headlines. So he can definitely sell tickets.

But Boozer may need to resort to beating defenses off his cerebral side and power first. Again, he's not the quickest to the hoop. But neither was his father.

Teams like the Kings should love his brains and team-first persona. He looks like a talent who'll fall around the fifth or sixth selection...which could still mean Sacramento.
