The New York Knicks look to close out the Atlanta Hawks in game six on the road.
The Knicks moved one step closer to the second round with a 126-97 victory in game five. It was the second straight double digit win for the Knicks. They have won all three games in this series by double digits. Their two losses came by one point each. In game five, the Hawks got a very early lead, but once the Knicks got the lead a few minutes in, they never looked back. They led by as many as 32 before closing out the games.
The Knicks lead the series 3-2. Game six takes place at 7 PM ET at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
New York Knicks Injury Report
Josh Hart is QUESTIONABLE with a lower back contusion. Hart has played and started in all five games. He played 30 minutes in game five, scoring nine points, grabbing five rebounds, and adding four assists. He's averaging 9.4 points, ten rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.6 steals in the series.
The Knicks have started Jalen Brunson, Hart, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, and Karl-Anthony Towns in all five games.
Brunson turned in his best game of the series in game five, scoring 39 points on 15-23 shooting. He added three rebounds and eight assists. Following up on his triple-double in game four, Towns had 16 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists, along with two steals and two blocks. OG had 17 points while Bridges had seven points.
Miles McBride, Mitchell Robinson, Jordan Clarkson, and Jose Alvardo all played over 11 minutes off the bech in game five.
Atlanta Hawks Injury Report
Jock Landale is OUT with a right high ankle sprain. On April 16, the Hawks announced that Landale was expected to miss at least two more weeks, ruling him out for the rest of the first round. He was acquired by the Hawks from the Utah Jazz at the trade deadline. In 23 games with Atlanta, he averaged 9.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. He's been out since April 1.
The Hawks are expected to keep their same starting group of Dyson Daniels, Jalen Johnson, Onyeka Okongwu, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and CJ McCollum.
McCollum struggled in game five, scoring just six points on 3-10 shooting. Daniels, Johnson, Okongwu, and Alexander-Walker all scored over 15 points, but no one scored more than 18 points.
Jonathan Kuminga, Gabe Vincent, Corey Kispert, and Mouhamed Gueye all saw siginifcant minutes off the bench in game five.
