Just how good is this Knicks' offense?

The New York Knicks have been one of the most offensively gifted teams throughout the 2025–26 regular season. Further proving that point on Sunday night against the Brooklyn Nets, New York exploded for 134 points, with six players scoring in double figures. It was the kind of performance that’s becoming routine for this team — fast-paced, unselfish, and deadly from every spot on the floor.

After the game, Knicks captain Jalen Brunson spoke about the team’s recent offensive spark but emphasized that there’s still another level they can reach.

    Oh Captain, My Captain

“We don’t have expectations, we’re just looking to get better every single day. We’re not being complacent, everything is instinct, everything’s a reaction, and it comes seamless for us. Yeah, the ball's going through the hoop, but I think we can be a lot better.”

It’s pretty remarkable when your star point guard calls for improvement after dropping 134 points on an opponent. Perhaps the sense of urgency stems from facing a Nets squad that’s still trying to find its rhythm, opening the year with a 1–9 record despite flashes of potential from its young core.

To put into perspective how efficient the Knicks have been offensively, the team is averaging 31.5 assists to just 12.8 turnovers during their current four-game winning streak. According to the team’s PR department, this marks the first time in franchise history that New York has recorded 30+ assists while committing fewer than 15 turnovers in four consecutive wins. That level of consistency speaks volumes about both their chemistry and trust in one another.

Think that’s impressive? It gets better. The Knicks currently own the best offensive rating and net rating in the NBA for the month of November, showing just how lethal their scoring balance has become. While strength of schedule may play a small part, it’s clear this roster has found a groove that few teams can match right now.

    There’s No “I” In Team…Unless There Is?

Basketball is built on everyone doing their part whenever they step on the floor — and the Knicks have embraced that mentality to perfection. Take OG Anunoby, for example. The team’s third scoring option and arguably their best perimeter defender, Anunoby is averaging career highs in points, rebounds, steals, threes made, and three-point percentage. Even more impressively, he’s doing it all while playing three fewer minutes per game than last season. His efficiency and spacing have been crucial to unlocking New York’s offensive flow.

Fans were initially skeptical about Karl-Anthony Towns’ impact in the lineup, given his history of injuries and the adjustment to sharing touches in a deeper rotation. But those doubts are quickly fading. “No player in NBA history has ever averaged more than 10 rebounds per game and shot above 90% from the free-throw line in the same season. Karl-Anthony Towns is currently shooting over 92% from the stripe and averaging 12.7 rebounds per game.” Those numbers speak for themselves.

The Knicks are simply a team proving they still have untapped potential. Having scored at least 128 points in three of their last four games, New York’s offense continues to evolve — and with the confidence flowing through the locker room, who knows just how high this group’s ceiling can go?
