Jalen Brunson is still stunned by what his team accomplished.

There were many improbable moments throughout the New York Knicks' championship run.

From their 13-game win streak in the playoffs, sweeping two teams in the process to take them to their first Finals appearance in the 21st century, to the way that a new star rose up to take control every single game in the Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, from Karl-Anthony Towns winning the physical battle against Victor Wembanyama to Josh Hart putting on a rebounding clinic in Game 1.

Of course, there's also OG Anunoby and the heroics that he put up in Game 4, the game that became the largest comeback in NBA history and made the only game played at Madison Square Garden in the series the most thrilling to watch.

Recapping Game 4

Anunoby came alive from three point range alongside Jalen Brunson in that game to do a lot to help the team's effort to overcome a 29-point deficit against the Spurs, but it wasn't Anunoby's three point shooting that have immortalized in New York sports legend.

What made a New York hero was two plays in the span of about 10 seconds; first a chase down block on a layup attempt by De'Aaron Fox that kept the Spurs from adding insurance to what was then a one-point lead.

What followed was even more iconic. Brunson fired up a three point shot in the final 4.4 seconds of the game, but it fell short and clanked off the front of the rim.

Then, in an instant and seemingly out nowhere, Anunoby came flying in and tipped in the missed triple to give the Knicks a one-point lead of their own and win the game, pulling off one of the most thrilling Finals games in NBA history and giving the Knicks momentum that they carried into a Game 5, and series, victory.

Brunson Can't Believe It

Over a month later, after all the parties, parades and talk show appearances, that Game 4 comeback is still what sticks out to Brunson.

“I still don't understand how we actually did it," Brunson said (via Sports Illustrated).

Brunson may not be alone in that thought, but what matters is that they did do it, and in the process gave the long-suffering Knicks faithful something not only to believe in, but lose their minds over.

Every single game that the Knicks won in that Finals series was a comeback, and the four wins together delivered what may be one of the most important championships in modern New York sports history, but that Game 4 revival in particular will be burned into the minds of Knicks and Spurs fans alike forever and stands alone as an accomplishment above all others.
