New York has embraced Josh Hart, and he's embraced the city wholeheartedly as a champion.
It's not a stretch to say Josh Hart is the heart and soul of the New York Knicks. He may not score the most points, but he'll find a way to positively impact the game, no matter what he's doing on the court.
The 31-year-old has played with numerous teams throughout his career, including the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Portland Trail Blazers.
However, it wasn't until Hart came to New York that he finally found a home. After four seasons of playing with the Knicks, he helped bring New York its first championship after 53 years.

What makes Hart's story different than Jalen Brunson or Karl-Anthony Towns is that he was on the path to becoming a journeyman. For Hart, that's become a definitive characteristic of his career.
"It's a part of my testimony," Hart said. "The one thing, no matter what, I've always said that I want to be a winner. I want to win a championship at the highest level. I've been doubted so many times, traded, had so much instability - seven, eight different head coaches."
Through that uncertainy, Hart found a home in New York.
"I found a home in New York," Hart proclaimed. "They embraced me for the person that I am, the player that I am."
Giving it all to New York
In Game 1 against the San Antonio Spurs, Josh Hart put up only 3 points, but had 15 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block in 27 minutes. It was the perfect summary of who he is as a player and how much of his body he gives up for the city.
"I'm not perfect by any means, I make a lot of mistakes, but I try to put my heart out there," Hard said. "I try to do whatever I can do to help the team win. I don't care about points, I don't care about those things."
No city was willing to embrace Hart the way New York has. It's a level of symbiotic relationship that has given both parties the ultimate dream of an NBA championship. For New York, Josh Hart will do anything.
"I'm willing to sacrifice whatever it takes for this city, for this jersey, for this franchise to win it," Hard passionately said. "Glory be to God, this is... they can't doubt me about anything else."
Every gamble, every trade, it all led to Josh Hart coming to the New York Knicks. Destiny was fulfilled for both parties, and a 53-year-long drought was finally broken by Hart and his teammates.
