
The New York Knicks could once again be without a key rotation player against the Houston Rockets
The New York Knicks look to bounce back when they take on the Houston Rockets on Tuesday.
The Knicks are coming off a 111-100 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, marking their second straight loss, which was preceded by a seven-game win streak. They are 7-3 in their last ten and 48-27 overall. They sit third in the East, two games behind the Boston Celtics and one game ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Rockets won their last game, 134-102, against the New Orleans Pelicans, their second straight victory. They are 5-5 in their last ten games. They sit sixth in the West with a 45-29 record. They are a half game behind the Minnesota Timberwolves and two games behind the Denver Nuggets.
This is the second and final meeting of the season between the two teams. The Knicks scored a 108-106 victory back on February 21.
New York Knicks Injury Report
Miles McBride is QUESTIONABLE after undergoing pelvic core muscle surgery. McBride was sidelined from January 27, but returned to the lineup against the Thunder in the last game. Unfortunately, he played just 11 minutes before leaving the game, going 0-3 from the field.
In 36 games this season, McBride is averaging 12.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while shooting 41% from three.
Landry Shamet is OUT with a right knee tibial plateau contusion. He's been out since March 20. There have been no further updates on his status. He's averaging 9.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 46 games this season.
Dillon Jones and Ariel Hukporti are both QUESTIONABLE. Jones is on a G-League two-way deal while Hukporti is on G-League assignment. Neither man has played since March 22.
Houston Rockets Injury Report
The Rockets have a relatively clean injury report, with only two long-term injuries and G-League players listed on the report.
Steven Adams is OUT after undergoing season-ending left ankle surgery in January. He played in 32 contests this season, averaging 5.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
Fred VanVleet is OUT after undergoing ACL surgery in the offseason. VanVleet suffered the injury in September and will not play this season. He was slotted to be the starting point guard for the team. He averaged 14.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 5.6 assists while shooting 34% from three in 60 games last season.
Isaiah Crawford and Tristen Newton are both OUT on G-League two-way deals.
