It’s the first NBA Cup game of the season for the New York Knicks as they travel to take on the Philadelphia 76ers. The game tips off at 7:30 PM ET and will air on Amazon Prime Video.

The Knicks have won two straight, defeating the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls to run their record to 2-3. This will be their second straight game on the road before they return home for one game.

The Sixers bounced back from a loss to the Detroit Pistons to defeat the Indiana Pacers in their last contest. They are back home after their quick road trip. They are 4-1 on the young season.

This is the second meeting for the season between the two teams. The Sixers defeated the Knicks, 106-100, on opening night. Tyrese Maxey had 28 points to lead the Sixers while Jaylen Brown had 19 points and LeBron James had 14 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists in their Philadelphia debuts. The Knicks were led by Jalen Brunson with 21 points.

Jose Alvarado is OUT with a left ankle sprain. He’s missed the last three games with the ankle sprain. In two games this season, he’s averaging five points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.

The Knicks will start Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges, and Karl-Anthony Towns.

Landry Shamet, Tyler Kolek, Jordan Clarkson, Andre Drummond, and Miles McBride were the top players off the bench. They all played more minutes than Bridges.

Jaylen Brown is QUESTIONABLE with left knee soreness. He’s averaging 20.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in five games this season, his first with the Sixers. He had 19 points, eight rebounds, and six assists against the Knicks on opening night.

Dominick Barlow is OUT with a low back stress reaction. He has yet to play this season and is set to miss two weeks as of October 19.

Ariel Hukporti is OUT with a right Achilles tendon tear. He is out for the season.

Jabari Walker is OUT with left patellar tendinopathy. He’s averaging 2.7 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in three games this season.

Tacko Fall is OUT with a left quadriceps strain. He’s yet to play this season.

If Brown plays, the Sixers will start Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Brown, LeBron James, and Joel Embiid.

Anfernee Simons, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Dean Wade are their top players off the bench.
