The New York Knicks set their injury report for Game 3.
The New York Knicks head home for game three of the NBA Finals, looking to take a commanding lead in the series against the San Antonio Spurs.
After stealing game one in San Antonio, the Knicks didn't back down in game two, surviving with a 105-104 victory. The Spurs started off strong, building a 12-point lead early in the second quarter, but the Knicks fought back to take the lead into halftime. The Knicks led for the majority of the second half, but the Spurs went up late in the fourth. The Knicks again fought back thanks to clutch shot making by Jalen Brunson.
In the end, Victor Wembanyama missed the potential game-winning shot, and the Knicks walked away with the victory.
The Knicks lead the series 2-0. Game 3 takes place at 8:30 PM ET at Madison Square Garden.
New York Knicks Injury Report
Mitchell Robinson is AVAILABLE with a right hand, fractured right fifth metacarpal. Robinson has been on the injury report for each of the first two games, but has played in both games. In game two, he played 14 minutes, finishing with seven points and three rebounds.
The Knicks will keep their same starting lineup of Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, and Josh Hart.
Towns led the way in game two, scoring 21 points to go along with 13 rebounds and four assists. Brunson finished with 20 points, including seven in the fourth quarter. He also had five rebounds, six assists, and five steals. Bridges had 20 points, six rebounds, and six assists, while Anunoby had 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Hart didn't score, but had six rebounds and four assists.
Miles McBride, Landry Shamet, Robinson, and Jose Alvarado were the top players off the bench. Shamet had 13 points.
San Antonio Spurs Injury Report
The Spurs have a clean injury report once again.
They will start De'Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, Devin Vassell, Julian Champagnie, and Victor Wembanyama.
Wembanyama led the Spurs in scoring in game two, contributing 29 points and nine rebounds. Fox had 20 points and five assists, while Castle had 14 points and Vassell had 14 points and nine rebounds.
Dylan Harper, Keldon Johnson, Luke Kornet, Carter Bryant, and Harrison Barnes all got minutes off the bench, though Kornet, Bryant, and Barnes all played less than eight minutes. Harper scored 15 points to lead all bench scorers, along with six rebounds and three assists.
