The New York Knicks will look to keep their momentum going when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in a big Eastern Conference showdown on Peacock.
The Knicks have won two straight, coming off a 105-99 victory over the Chicago Bulls. They have won three of their last four. This is their second game of a three-game road trip, which will finish in Milwaukee on Friday. The Knicks are 37-21, sitting third in the East and one game behind the Boston Celtics for second.
The Cavaliers saw their seven-game win streak snapped in their last contest, falling 121-113 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. They now play one game at home before returning to the road to play Milwaukee on Wednesday. The Cavs are fourth in the East with a 36-22 record. They are one game behind the Knicks for third.
This is the third meeting of the season between the two teams. The Knicks won on opening night, 119-111, and on Christmas Day, 126-124. Both games were before the NBA trade deadline when the Cavaliers acquired James Harden. They won't meet again until a potential playoff showdown.
The Knicks come into this game relatively healthy as all of their starters and key rotation players are available.
Mitchell Robinson returns to the lineup after missing the last game against the Chicago Bulls. Robinson sat due to injury management as it was a back-to-back situation with the Knicks having played the night before against the Houston Rockets. Robinson has sat in back-to-back situations all season.
Miles McBride is OUT after undergoing pelvic core muscle surgery earlier this month. He is not expected to return until at least the playoffs. McBride did not play in the Christmas Day game against the Cavaliers, but was a key contributor in the opening night victory for the Knicks, knocking down four threes and scoring 15 points off the bench.
Pacome Dadiet and Kevin McCullar Jr are OUT on G-League two-way deals. Dillon Jones is QUESTIONABLE on a G-League two-way deal.
The Cavaliers are also relatively healthy with James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen all expected to play. This is their second straight game with a healthy lineup. Mobley missed the game against the Charlotte Hornets on February 20.
Max Strus is OUT after undergoing left foot surgery for a Jones fracture. He has not suited up this season and has not been cleared for contact as of February 18. He is considered week-to-week.
Tristan Enaruna and Riley Minix are both OUT on a G-League two-way deal.
