The New York Knicks will be without two of their key rotation players against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.

The New York Knicks have hit a rough spot over their past eight games, going 2-6, with Wednesday's 11-point loss against the Sacramento Kings being the lowest of the low, with Mike Brown calling it the worst game of the season.

However, they won't have time to dwell on it, as they play the second half of their back-to-back against the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco on Thursday. The Warriors haven't been playing too well either, as a win on Thursday night would go a long way for each of these teams as they look to build some momentum.

Knicks Injury Report

While the Knicks are in desperate need of a bounce-back win, they'll enter Thursday's contest shorthanded. Four players are listed on the Knicks' injury report, with Trey Jemison III being the only non-rotation player ruled OUT due to being on a two-way contract.

The most prominent name listed is Jalen Brunson, as the Knicks' MVP candidate is listed as OUT due to a right ankle sprain. It'll be just the fourth absence for Brunson all season, as he left early during the team's 112-101 loss to the Kings.

Before going down with an injury, Brunson was averaging 28.4 points, 5.6 assists, and 3.2 rebounds on 42.5% three-point shooting over his last 10 games.

Additionally, top reserve center Mitchell Robinson, who is averaging 11.0 rebounds per game over his last five contests, has been ruled OUT due to left ankle injury management. Robinson has battled injuries throughout his career and has played in more than 70 games just once in his eight years.

However, some positive news is that Landry Shamet, who has missed the past 25 games for the Knicks, is listed as QUESTIONABLE due to a right shoulder injury. While it's been a while since he last played, he was starting to find his groove before exiting the November 22nd contest against the Orlando Magic early.

Warriors Injury Report

The injury report for the Warriors is rather clean, with Seth Curry (left sciatic nerve) ruled OUT and both LJ Cryer and Malevy Leons ruled OUT on two-way contracts.

Even though Golden State has an older team, they'll have their veteran stars in Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green available.

Tip-off at the Chase Center in San Francisco is set for 10:00 p.m. EST, with the Warriors looking to make it back-to-back wins while the Knicks will look to avoid falling further behind the Detroit Pistons in the standings.
