The New York Knicks have given a status update on Karl-Anthony Towns.

The New York Knicks look to start a win streak when they host the Chicago Bulls on Friday. 

The Knicks are coming off a 130-119 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, snapping their three game losing streak. They are 7-3 in their last ten contests. They are 49-28 on the season, putting them third in the East. They trail the Boston Celtics by 2.5 games and lead the Cleveland Cavaliers by only one game. 

The Bulls got thumped by the Indiana Pacers in their last game, 145-126. They have lost five straight and have just one win in their last eight games. They are 12th in the East with a 29-47 record. They have been eliminated from playoff contention. 

The Bulls won the first meeting of the season between the two teams, 135-125, back on October 31. The Knicks won the last two, with the latest game taking place on February 22, a 105-99 victory for the Knicks. 

New York Knicks Injury Report

Karl-Anthony Towns is QUESTIONABLE with right elbow impingement. He played 30 minutes against the Grizzlies, finishing with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists for his first triple double of the season. He hasn't missed a game since March 13. 

In 72 games this season, Towns is averaging 20.1 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. 

Chicago Bulls Injury Report

Josh Giddey is PROBABLE with left hamstring tightness. He missed the last game against the Pacers. He's averaging 17.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 9.2 assists in 53 games in his second season with the Bulls. 

Tre Jones is PROBABLE with a right ankle sprain. He hasn't missed a game since February 11. He's averaging 13.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in 59 games this season. 

Mac McClung is PROBABLE with right abdominal tightness. He played 11 minutes against the Pacers, finishing with eight points and two rebounds. 

Lachlan Olbrich is PROBABLE with bilateral plantar fasciitis. The rookie played 17 minutes against the Pacers, scoring eight points and adding eight rebounds. 

Guerschon Yabusele is PROBABLE with a left ankle sprain. He scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds in 25 minutes against the Pacers.

Nick Richards is QUESTIONABLE with a right elbow sprain. He's been sidelined since March 25.

Zach Collins is OUT after undergoing season-ending right toe surgery in February. 

Noa Essengue is OUT after undergoing season-ending left shoulder surgery in December. 

Anfernee Simons is OUT with a left ulnar styloid fracture. He's been out since February 21. 

Jalen Smith is OUT with a right calf strain. He's been out since March 25.
