The New York Knicks have one player who will be a major X-factor in winning an NBA championship
When looking at the New York Knicks' roster, it's hard to call any one individual player as underrated.
Last season, almost every single member of the roster had crucial moments in helping the Knicks win an NBA championship. Whether it was Mitchell Robinson, Josh Hart, Landry Shamet, or Jose Alvarado, almost everyone had their moments during the playoffs last season.

Andre Drummond's Capabilities
Last season with the Philadelphia 76ers, Drummond averaged 6.4 points and 8.4 rebounds on 47.2% shooting in 63 games last season. The majority of his playing time came off the bench, only starting in 25 minutes. Surprisingly, Drummond was even capable of shooting 35.6% from three and seems to be adding that more into his arsenal.
It's worth noting that Drummond's numbers dropped during the playoffs last season, only averaging 3.9 points and 4.3 rebounds on 69.6% shooting from the field. Similar to Mitchell Robinson, one can imagine that Drummond will get intentionally fouled numerous times throughout the year, as he only averaged 63.1% from the free-throw line.
Drummond started his career with people believing he had the potential to become an all-time center; as it progressed, the expectations clearly went down, and he became underrated. With the Knicks next season, he has a major opportunity.

While Robinson wasn't the team's starting center or had the most playing time on the court, he was a very important piece to the team's success. Time after time throughout the playoffs, Robinson secured crucial rebounds to give the Knicks extra possessions. In Game 5 against the Spurs alone, Robinson put up 10 rebounds off the bench.
It's a very clear understanding and fit for what the New York Knicks need from Drummond when looking at the productivity of Robinson. However, Drummond is four years older, with six more years of miles on his body.
Unfortunately for Andre Drummond, the New York Knicks need him to live up to expectations. If Drummond, for some reason, struggles in his specific role, the Knicks will find themselves struggling and not winning an NBA championship.
Hopefully, Andre Drummond is ready for the challenge that New York has for him.
