Cameron Carr isn't focused on where he was drafted—he's focused on proving every team that passed on him made a mistake.

The Los Angeles Lakers continued their impressive run through the 2026 NBA Summer League on Thursday, cruising to a 105-82 victory over the Chicago Bulls to finish the Las Vegas portion of the schedule with a perfect 4-0 record.

While L.A. once again showcased its depth with six players scoring in double figures, rookie Cameron Carr delivered another encouraging performance that extended his strong Summer League showing. Following the win, the No. 24 overall pick shared the mindset that has fueled him throughout the offseason.

"I was overlooked, so I got a lot to prove," Carr said after the game.

His production has grown through each game and, if it keeps building, could lead to some reasonable minutes come regular season play in the Lakers' rotation.

Carr Continues to Build Momentum

Carr finished with 14 points against Chicago while helping the Lakers maintain control for much of the afternoon. After a defense-heavy opening quarter, L.A. broke the game open by outscoring the Bulls 64-38 during the second and third quarters before cruising to the finish.

Carr's strong outing was another example of the production he has provided throughout the Summer League, along with multiple other prospects trying to make the roster.

In three games, he is averaging 18.3 points while shooting 46.5% from the field. Arthur Kaluma has led the Lakers offensively, averaging 20.3 points per game while shooting an efficient 63.9% overall and 54.5% from beyond the arc.

Adou Thiero has been one of the team's most complete players, averaging 14.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists, while Chris Mañon has contributed 11.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

The balanced production has become one of the biggest reasons behind the Lakers' undefeated run. Rather than relying on one standout scorer, multiple players have stepped up each game, giving the coaching staff plenty to be encouraged about heading into the semifinals.

His confidence has also been noticeable. Rather than trying to force the action, Carr has played within the offense while flashing the athleticism, scoring ability and versatility that made him a first-round selection.

Lakers Staying Unbeaten

The Lakers have now defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, L.A. Clippers and Chicago Bulls to complete a 4-0 record in Las Vegas. Combined with a 2-1 showing in the California Classic, the organization has compiled an impressive 6-1 Summer League record heading into the semifinal round.

The regular season will present a much tougher challenge, but Carr has already shown the confidence and determination needed to compete for a role once training camp begins.

If his Summer League performance is any indication, the rookie is motivated to prove the teams that overlooked him made a mistake.

With the Lakers still undefeated and Carr continuing to impress, both player and team have built significant momentum entering the Summer League semifinals. The results have backed up the confidence, and Carr's message suggests he believes his best basketball is still ahead.
