
The Los Angeles Lakers have set their injury report for game five against the Houston Rockets.
The Los Angeles Lakers will look to close out their first round matchup against the Houston Rockets when they host game five on Wednesday.
The Rockets managed to avoid elimination in game four, winning 115-96. The Lakers got off to a strong start, but Houston managed to take the lead late in the first quarter, and never looked back, leading by as much as 28. The Rockets defense fueled their offense as they forced 23 turnovers, including 17 steals. They scored 30 points off the turnovers and 23 points on the fastbreak.
The Lakers lead the series 3-1. Game five takes place at Crypto.com Arena and begins at 10 PM ET.
Los Angeles Lakers Injury Report
Austin Reaves is QUESTIONABLE with a left oblique muscle strain. According to reports, Reaves is optimistic that he will be able to play. He has been listed as questionable for the last two games, but has not played. He's been sidelined since April 2.
If he does play, it is unclear if he will start or come of the bench, or if he'll be on a minutes restriction. He played in 51 games during the regular season, averaging 23.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists.
Luka Doncic is OUT with a left hamstring strain. Doncic has also been sidelined since April 2, but there is less optimism about him playing in this series, should it be extended with a Rockets victory. On April 28, it was reported that Luka could miss round two against the Oklahoma City Thunder should the Lakers advance.
LeBron James, Rui Hachimura, Marcus Smart, Luke Kennard, and Deandre Ayton have started in every game this series.
Jake LaRavia, Jaxson Hayes, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Bronny James have seen the bulk of the minutes off the bench.
Houston Rockets Injury Report
Kevin Durant is OUT with a left ankle sprain. Durant has played in just one game this series and has been questionable heading into every game. In game two, he logged 41 minutes, scoring 23 points to go along with six rebounds and four assists. It is unknown if he will be able to return should the series be extended.
Steven Adams is OUT after undergoing left ankle surgery in January that brought his season to an end.
Fred VanVleet is OUT after undergoing season-ending right ACL surgery in September before the regular season began.
The Rockets are likely to start Tari Eason, Jabari Smith Jr, Alperen Sengun, Reed Sheppard, and Amen Thompson.
Josh Okogie, Aaron Holiday, and Dorian Finney-Smith saw the majority of the minutes off the bench in game four.
