The next generation of stars is gaining more popularity and taking over the NBA, but there's no denying that LeBron James remains the game's most popular player. Drafted first overall in 2003, James started playing before many players were even born, including fellow All-Stars Victor Wembanyama and Jalen Duren.

While it was controversial, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James very well earned his 22nd career All-Star appearance, scoring 15 points across three games with Team USA Stripes. A legend of the game, some have been left wondering: was this the last All-Star appearance for LeBron?

LeBron Addresses Future

At 41 years old, the question about how much longer LeBron has left is constantly brought up. Already the leader in countless record books, the only other thing that could help his case in the G.O.A.T. conversation at this point is winning another championship.

When asked at All-Star weekend about his future, LeBron was straight and to the point with his answer.

"I just want to live ... when I know, you guys will know. I don't know. I have no idea. I just want to live, that's all," James said.

Some have speculated that since playing with Bronny, LeBron might be trying to do the impossible and play with both of his children. However, with Bryce James currently a freshman at the University of Arizona and redshirting this season, he'd debut in the NBA at the earliest for the 2027-28 season.

James would then be 43 years old, which seems unlikely, but then again, NFL legend Tom Brady played until he was 45. James takes great care of himself physically, so it's in the realm of possibility that he could hold out until then.

However, he's also been playing basketball nearly his whole life, and made it clear he has a life he wants to live.

“What I want to do at 45, 50, and 55 will be a lot of creating great vibes and fun with my family and my friends. That's one of my passions: create memories that will last forever," he added.

If LeBron were to play till he's 43, there's no doubt he would set records that would be unbreakable, as if they aren't already that. It would put him at 25 years in the NBA, another milestone that would likely never be broken.

In the end, fans just wanna know when LeBron decides to hang it up, so they can soak up every last moment of him playing before it's too late.
