The Los Angeles Lakers could be without LeBron James as they take on the New York Knicks.

The Los Angeles Lakers will look to start a new win streak on Sunday when they host the New York Knicks. 

The Lakers are coming off a 128-117 victory over the Indiana Pacers, bouncing back after a loss to the Denver Nuggets. They are 4-1 in their last five games and 6-4 in their last ten. This is the second game on a five game homestand for the team. They currently sit sixth in the West at 38-25, .5 games behind the Denver Nuggets. 

The Knicks ran the Nuggets off the floor in their last contest, winning 142-103. They are also 4-1 in their last five games and 7-3 in their last ten. This is the second of five games on the road with four coming against Western Conference opponents. They are third in the East at 41-23, 1.5 games behind the Boston Celtics. 

These two teams met on February 1, a 112-100 victory for the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. 

Los Angeles Lakers Injury Report

LeBron James is QUESTIONABLE with a left elbow contusion and left foot arthritis. He took a hard fall against the Nuggets and was noticeably favoring his elbow as he was taken off the floor. He did not play against the Pacers. 

In 44 games this season, LeBron is averaging 21.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Rui Hachimura started in his place last game. 

Maxi Kleber is also QUESTIONABLE for the Lakers with a lumbar back strain. He's been out since March 1. Coming off the bench for the Lakers, he's averaging 2.2 points and 2 rebounds in 34 games this season. 

Bronny James and Adou Thiero are OUT on G-League assignment. 

Deandre Ayton is off the injury report, and should play. He missed the game against the Pacers after leaving the game against the Nuggets after just five minutes. Jaxson Hayes started in his place against the Pacers. 

New York Knicks Injury Report

The Knicks could be without key bench player Landry Shamet, who is QUESTIONABLE with a cervical sprain. 

He played just 18 minutes against the Nuggets, finishing with 10 points. Shamet is averaging 10.1 points in 39 games this season. 

Miles McBride remains OUT after undergoing pelvic core muscle surgery. The Knicks are hoping he'll be back in the playoffs. 

Dillon Jones is OUT on a G-League two-way deal. 

The Knicks are expected to start Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, and Mikal Bridges.
