Washington is on a back-to-back, coming off a 109-99 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night. They have won two straight after losing nine straight. They are in the middle of a five-game home stand.
This is the first meeting of the season between the two teams. They won't play again until March 30th.
It's good news and bad news for the Lakers on the injury report.
Austin Reaves is officially listed as QUESTIONABLE with a left calf strain.
Reaves has been sidelined since Christmas Day, when he suffered the injury against the Houston Rockets. He was reportedly scheduled to return against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but ESPN's Shams Charania tweeted, and quickly deleted, the news about his return.
In 23 games this season, Reaves is averaging 26.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.3 assists, all of which are career highs for the year-five guard.
Luka Doncic is also listed as QUESTIONABLE with left ankle soreness. Doncic tweaked his ankle against the Cavaliers, falling off the elevated court and immediately grabbing his ankle.
Luka's fall took place in the first quarter, and he managed to return to the game, playing 30 minutes. Luka finished with 29 points, five rebounds, and six assists.
Adou Thiero remains OUT with a right MCL sprain.
Rookie Tre Johnson is OUT for the Wizards with a left ankle sprain.
Johnson suffered the injury against the Bucks, playing just 11 minutes before having to leave the game.
He is averaging 12.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in his rookie season.
Veteran Khris Middleton is OUT with right knee injury management. He played 26 minutes against the Bucks on Thursday, finishing with 13 points, six rebounds, and four assists against his former team.
Middleton has sat in back-to-back situations all season.
Marvin Bagley III is OUT with a thoracic strain. He has been out since January 19th.
Tristan Vukcevic is OUT with a left hamstring strain. He's been out since January 14th.
Cam Whitmore is OUT with a right shoulder deep vein thrombosis injury. He's been out since December 4th and will not return to the lineup this season.
Trae Young remains OUT with a right knee MCL sprain and quad contusion. He has yet to debut for the Wizards since being traded from the Atlanta Hawks on January 7th. He will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break.
