The Lakers have won back-to-back games, including their last outing against the Philadelphia 76ers, a close 119-115 victory. The Lakers have a long homestand, with this being their second game of eight straight at home.
The Warriors scored a win in their last contest, taking down the Phoenix Suns, 101-97. The win snapped a two-game losing streak. They are 3-3 in their last six and head home after the game against the Lakers.
This is the second meeting of the season between the two squads. The Warriors won on opening night, 119-109. They'll meet again on February 28 and April 9.
The Lakers will be without superstar Luka Doncic, who is listed as OUT with a left hamstring strain.
Doncic suffered the injury against the 76ers, leaving the game after just 16 minutes. It is unknown when he will return to the lineup.
Doncic was enjoying another All-Star season, averaging 32.8 points per game, the second-highest number of his career. On top of his scoring, he's averaging 7.8 rebounds and 8.6 assists in 42 games this season. He's missed only eight games this year.
Luke Kennard is QUESTIONABLE as the trade from the Atlanta Hawks is still pending. Kennard was traded for Gabe Vincent on Thursday ahead of the NBA trade deadline.
He is averaging 7.9 points and shooting 49% from three in 46 games this season.
Adou Thiero remains OUT with a right MCL sprain.
The Warriors will be without Steph Curry, who is OUT with right patellofemoral pain syndrome.
Steph has been out since January 30th, missing the last two games. In 39 games this season, Steph is averaging 27.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.
Newly acquired Kristaps Porzingis is OUT with left Achilles tendon injury management. The Warriors picked up Porzingis from Atlanta in exchange for Jonathan Kuminga ahead of the trade deadline.
Porzingis has not played since January 17th and has played in only 17 games this season.
Brandin Podziemski is PROBABLE with illness. He played just 12 minutes against the Phoenix Suns, missing all three of his field goal attempts, but contributing with three rebounds and an assist. He has not missed a game this season.
Jimmy Butler is OUT following an ACL tear in January and will not return this season. Seth Curry is OUT with left sciatic nerve irritation. He's played just two games this season and was set to be reevaluated in two weeks from January 31st.
