At 39-25, the Lakers are fifth in the West, one game behind the Timberwolves for third and a half game behind the Houston Rockets, who are fifth. They lead the Denver Nuggets, who are sixth, by a half-game.
The Timberwolves will try to bounce back after a rough loss to the Orlando Magic, losing 119-92. The loss snapped a five game win streak for Minnesota. They are 8-2 in their last ten games. The Timberwolves sit third in the West with a 40-24 record, but are only a game and a half better than the Nuggets at six.
This is the third meeting of the season between the two teams. The Lakers won the first two matches, but both of those games took place in October. The Lakers won 128-110 on October 24 and 116-115 on October 29.

The Lakers are listing LeBron James as QUESTIONABLE with a right hip contusion and left foot arthritis. LeBron has missed the last two games for the Lakers. He took a hard fall against the Nuggets on March 5 in the fourth quarter, but ultimately returned to the game.
LeBron missed both of the games against the Timberwolves in October.
In 44 games this season, the future Hall of Famer is averaging 21.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 7 assists.
If LeBron doesn't play, expect the Lakers to once again start Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Marcus Smart, and Deandre Ayton. Hachimura would move to the bench if LeBron is back in the lineup.
