Moritz Wagner:
On the resiliency shown in the game against the Clippers and carrying it into the Lakers game:
"Yeah, obviously that's part of our identity. Miss shots, sometimes we make them, but you can't depend on that and I think we play two very gritty teams coming out of the break and trying to decide one of those for us is huge for our confidence because when you play so hard, you obviously want to translate as well to get motivated to keep playing this hard. So obviously trying to take this into the game today as well."
On what was discussed in shootaround about facing the Lakers:
"Yeah, it's all about defensive execution. They obviously super offensively potent. Got to be super locked in, but at the end of the day, it's all about our toughness, how hard we play, how physical we are. I think that will determine the game. And then play free and open offensively and kind of play for each other and we'll have a fun night."
On the challenge of defending both Luka Dončić and LeBron James on the floor together, plus Austin Reaves:
"Yeah, that and Austin Reaves an elite scorer. So I think they are very very potent offensively and it's definitely a challenge. We got to be very locked in on that. But at the same time, that's also what we do. We're really good defensively and we can find back to that swag kind of towards the end of the season. This is a great challenge to do that. So embrace the challenge, be excited about it and hope to get another win in this playoff fun."
On having Franz Wagner back around the team to close out the trip:
"Awesome. I miss him. It's hard. It's crazy that I say that because I spend about every day. But yeah, of course, his energy, what he brings to this squad. He's part of what we do here. He's a huge part of what we do. We want him back as soon as possible. But just his humility and his normalness. I would almost say he's such a good person. It's very refreshing and obviously from a brother cool too to spend some time with him."
Jonathan Isaac:
On the resiliency shown in the win against the Clippers after the tough loss in Phoenix:
"Just that we got it. We got some tough loss in Phoenix. Obviously not the way you want to go out, but they made a tough shot and we were in a similar situation. Sometimes it goes in and sometimes it doesn't, but we did what we had to do down the stretch. We made plays, big defensive stops, big rebounds, and got the win."
On the importance of building on those big defensive stops heading into the Lakers game:
"Huge. They got premier scorers. We just got to pick up the pace, play great defense, rebound the basketball, and we'll be okay."
On the momentum swing from making big defensive plays and the pride taken on that end:
"Yeah, I love it. My teammates make sure that I hear it too when I make plays like that. I feel it tangibly in the game when you get a stop and we're able to get out and run. The other team gets a little demoralized when you get a big stop or a big block and you get to go the other way. So it's huge for our team."
On the stress that Luka Dončić, LeBron James, and Austin Reaves put on a defense:
"A bunch. That's what they do. They make it tough for you and when you're in coverages and somebody's going downhill and they kick it out to somebody who's just as capable to make a play. It's tough, but you got to sit down and guard. They're going to make some shots and just got to keep moving and play basketball."
On capping off the trip with a win against the Lakers:
"It'd be amazing. Let's get it done."
