On the game-winning shot:
"Just knew I had two seconds, enough to take a dribble or two and get to my spot and yeah, just rise up and got a clean look and felt good coming out my hands and I was excited to see it go in."
On how uplifting the win can be amid adversity (injuries, road stretch):
"It's always good to win. So, I think that's the main thing is just getting a W. I think we made the game a little closer than we would have liked, but like I said, getting a W is what matters."
On what Brooklyn did in the fourth quarter/OT to force extra session:
"I think they just junked the game up, sent traps and just kind of created chaos. And they had guys who hit big shots throughout the game. The rookie Dennis, he hit some huge threes and Porter had it going as well."
On the high-level defense in the second and third quarters resembling the team's desired staple:
"Yeah. We've been a good defensive team in the past and that slipped this year and so we're just trying to get back to being elite on that side of the ball."
On adjusting to heavy double-teams/traps late (big passes to Tristan and Dell):
"I was letting the double teams and the traps speed me up throughout the game and I just kind of told myself, I know the trap's coming, so when it comes just slow down, survey the floor cuz they're sending two at me, so there's somebody that's open and Tristan and Dell both on those passes made themselves available right there by the bucket and I'm able to see over the defense and so I just took my time and try to deliver a good pass."
On the excitement of two upcoming home games after limited time at Kia Center:
"It'll be great to be back home. I'm sure everybody's excited about that."
On staying calm/focused after Brooklyn's apparent game-winner (bench stormed court, crowd went crazy):
"When you look up on the clock and you see it's three something seconds left, you know that there's still a chance. And even though it is a tough instance where he makes that shot and the crowd's going crazy, it's easy to give into that. But you just got to come to the bench and you got to have that same belief that you can win the game. And I think just calm yourself down, breathe, and go out there and try to go win the game."
On carrying that mentality forward in building momentum:
"We've had some tight games this year. We've had a few game-winning shots already. And so that's something that when you're in that situation, you know there's time on the clock, so there's always a chance. And yeah, I think everybody on the bench is just kind of taking on that mindset when we're in them situations."
