On the last shot by Jalen Green:
"He had a hell of a shot. I think got some separation on that baseline. He got pushed off his route. He did a hell of a job coming back to contest it, but Jalen Green hit a hell of a shot. You got to give him credit for that one."
On second-chance points and offensive rebounds hurting the team:
"They got 117 shots up. That's the game right there. 22 offensive rebounds. It's hard to overcome that when they have that many possessions. We talked about it pregame. We talked about it in our meeting. This is a team that crashes the offensive glass. So we got to do the small details of boxing out, hitting guys, and then going to pursue the rebound before you can get out on the break."
On dealing with foul trouble, injuries, and missing players like Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs fouling out:
"We gave ourselves a chance. That happens within the game. Guys are going to foul out. There's going to be foul trouble. There's going to be injuries throughout the season. You got to give Phoenix a ton of credit. It was a back-and-forth battle. But in a game like this, it is about the little things and the little details. We can't turn it over 16 times for 22 points as well as give up 22 offensive rebounds. Those are possessions you can't get back. Our guys fought till the end minus bodies, obviously the situation, but we've got to make sure we continue to do the little things. The great part about the league is you got to turn around and do it again tomorrow."
On Paolo Banchero's performance, particularly his assertiveness in the paint:
"Here's a young man that continues to get downhill, created double teams, got a lot of guys wide open looks. We got to step in and knock those down. I think he attacked the basket a ton, wasn't getting the call necessarily going his way, but I love the way that he was attacking downhill, being aggressive in those situations. Getting post ups, putting guys on his back, and just being able to get that job done around the rim."
On preparing for the back-to-back against the Clippers with heavy minutes for some players:
"We got to recover. The guys will get their treatment now, do that, get some rest tomorrow, and then be ready to turn it around right away. Again, it's going to be by committee. Guys that didn't play many minutes tonight will be able to get a look at an opportunity to get some run tomorrow."
