Mosley demands urgency and sharp focus. The Magic must shake off losses, hone their game, and dominate a crucial play-in test.
On the focus of practice as the team prepares for the play-in game tomorrow night:
"Just focusing on what we need to do to take care of business tomorrow. Obviously Philadelphia's offensive sets, how they like to play, our offense, how we have to go at them on our offensive side, and just continue to build the chemistry with the different lineups, different groups that are working on playing together."
On how the group has responded to what happened the other night in Boston:
"Shake it off. You got to bounce back. You learn from it. You look at the film. You can't get it back. You got to go on and move and take care of this play-in game right now."
On how he would characterize the team's ability to respond to tough losses like Sunday:
"We know we got to move on to the next game. You can't harp on it. You can't hold on to it. You got to learn from it. That's what we did. You watch film yesterday, get on the court today, watch the stuff on Philadelphia, and then you move on."
On how much they focus on what Philadelphia is doing versus focusing on themselves for a one-off game like this:
"It's a one-game hit. Our ability to focus on exactly what they do, exactly what we do well versus having played them a couple times is being able to hone in on what's worked for us, what we need to clean up, and go from there. That's the beauty of having the film of seeing what we've done well and what we need to continue to work on."
On whether he can sense extra confidence from Paolo Banchero, especially in this practice session:
"I think these guys — there's levels of confidence in each one of these guys knowing how we need to prepare, what we need to do, how tied together we need to be being in this situation. That's the growth of this group, but that's also the experiences that we've had in the postseason before."
On whether there was a lack of urgency the other night and why tomorrow night will be different:
"We go out and prepare for the game the best way possible and our guys understand what's at stake. This is how we got to play — one game at a time — and that's all we have."
On what Jalen Suggs and Jonathan Isaac were able to do today:
"They were basically on court a little bit of movement but still no contact work yet."
On the main challenges against the 76ers team:
"That's a great question. Obviously it starts with Maxey with Embiid being out. It starts with Maxey's ability to create shots for himself but also for others. Big time the way that they rebound the basketball. We've got to make sure that we're checking out, finishing possessions with the rebound. Again, they got a lot of guys that can go get and score the ball. So we've got to make sure we're sitting down, guarding our yard, keeping them out of the paint, but also contesting all their shots."
