Mosley reveals the defensive intensity, crowd energy, and resilient mindset that fueled the Magic's critical Game 4 victory.

On the defensive performance and the home crowd:

"I’m going to shout out our crowd again—this place is rocking. Our fans are absolutely incredible; they were definitely the sixth man in that one. Our defensive effort, energy, and focus level were great. We have to continue to do a better job of defending without fouling down the stretch, but our guys did a really good job of not letting the shots impact the way that we guarded."

On the significance of a 3-1 lead:

"It means nothing. We’ve put ourselves in position to try to get four, but right now it represents nothing. We have the advantage and now we just have to make sure we try to keep that advantage."

On Jalen Suggs' injury status:

"He has right calf soreness. I talked to him a little bit and he's in good spirits right now."

On Jamal Cain’s consistency and tenacity:

"He appreciates his opportunity and doesn't take it as a right. His ability to go out there and play all out every single night, doing all the little things, says something about his care factor. He’s been in different situations before and he knows he can't take this for granted. It shows the work he's put in and the care he has for this team."

On the team's resilience when shots aren't falling:

"It’s the experience. We’ve been in situations where we let shots impact our play, but in the playoffs, you have to tell yourself a different story because your defense has to carry you. It wasn't pretty for us tonight, but we did it on the defensive end. If shots happen to fall, great, but if not, we’ve got to sit down and guard for 48 minutes."

On Jamal Cain’s massive transition dunk:

"That was a transition where he was getting picked up full court and had a race to the rim. We were trying to run a set and he just took exactly what the game gave him. He wasn't afraid to go to the basket. That was the definition of going off two feet."

On the mindset heading into Game 5:

"My statement in the locker room was the Kobe Bryant clip: 'Job’s not done.' We’ve given ourselves the chance and put ourselves in position with a 3-1 lead to go get the fourth, but it's still not done. We have to take it one game at a time."

On the team's defensive identity clicking:

"Honestly, it’s the playoffs. You’re trying to figure out a way to get the win, whatever that takes and whoever needs to step up. Our guys have figured out that defense is going to be the calling card no matter what we do on the offensive end."

On the "by committee" defense against Cade Cunningham:

"You can't guard Cade Cunningham one-on-one; it takes a committee. There is a reason why he is in the MVP candidate race—he's a tough guard who plays big and with poise. You have to figure out a way to get into the ball without fouling him. We’re using multiple people and different coverages just to keep him guessing."

On Wendell Carter Jr.’s versatility and double-double:

"He’s been that for us all year—being able to guard multiple positions, switch, trap, and play different coverages. He’s selfless and does whatever is necessary for the team. His ability to move his feet and then get back in the paint for a rebound is huge. He's taking on the challenge every single night."

On facing a Detroit team facing elimination:

"We’ve felt exactly what they are capable of doing. It’s not a team that’s going to back down, and they are coached by a guy who won't let them. Our ability has to be to exceed their effort, sustain our energy, and make sure we do all the little things within the game."
