Mosley pinpoints missed offensive rebounds, turnovers, and defensive communication breakdowns as critical factors in Orlando's loss.

On what was missing from the team's performance tonight during the win streak:

"Just that. I don't think we were a step slow. You got to give them a ton of credit. They came out fast and aggressive. We missed a couple shots. It got to our defense a little bit, so they were able to get out on the break a little early. But again, it was the little things within this game. We definitely were a step slow tonight—15 offensive rebounds for 19 points, turn it over 11 times for 17. Those are things you're not getting away from. You put them on the line 29 times. We didn't win the possession game and that's what they thrive on and that's why they were able to get out and get ahead of it."

On the team's shot selection and whether the ball was moving as hoped:

"Early on I think we had incredible looks. I think we were wide open on a ton of them. We just missed them and those were leading to breaks. Again, I think they did a great job of pressuring up and turning us over later on and then that allowed them to get out in transition. So you got to give them a ton of credit there. But again, we were a step slow in all the small categories and the details of the game—offensive rebounds, 15 of them, turnovers 11 for 17 points, and then putting them on the free throw line 29 times. We're to our 23. So you got to win those possession battles."

On miscommunication issues and how to ensure the team stays on the same page after a game like this:

"The communication—a big portion of that was the defensive end. Again, this is why you got to give Atlanta a ton of credit and what they've done. They know they're flying through screens, slipping out of screens, and that communication caused some confusion for us in those areas. We weren't physical enough to change the direction of the screens. So as they were slipping out, they found the guys on low angles, and they were able to get a couple easy ones at the basket. Nail did a great job of slipping out of screens as well. And so we just got to do a better job of communicating those situations. And I think that's one thing we have done over these since the break. And tonight was one of those nights that we had some breakdowns."

On flushing this loss and refocusing for tomorrow's game against the defending champions:

"That's the great part about the league. As bad as you feel tonight, you get another opportunity to redeem yourself tomorrow. And so it's a great opportunity, great opponent, obviously the champs. And so you got to make sure we're ready to go, get the rest we need to be able to play tomorrow night."

On whether cutting the lead from 29 down to 14 in the fourth quarter can provide momentum:

"Yeah, I mean we got it down to 14 and I'm talking in the huddles letting these guys know that you just keep chipping away. You're not going to get it all back in one possession. And that's the thing about the way that they play. They're going to allow you to get back. But we had some communication issues after the huddle and then they came out and knocked down two quick threes. And so that was at the point that we got to make sure that we do a better job of communicating, but also being more physical so we know that when we're hit, we are going to be able to switch the screens and not get caught just guessing."

On considering going to the bench or different lineups earlier:

"Yeah, at this point in the game when we were down to 14 and it got to 26 and it was up in the game is like there's moments that you want to look at different lineups and different rotations. Now obviously because of the way they were playing with the speed and the pace and the slip outs and the screens, I'm looking at different lineups to be able to speed the game up. That's why we went a little smaller earlier—just to be able to find some spacing on the floor to get downhill."

On how the team handled falling behind quickly early in the game:

"I thought we were better. I thought guys we rallied around each other. Yes, the heads were down early because of the fact that we weren't making a lot of shots and they were getting some easy baskets. But at the end of the day, when we got it to 14 to 12, these guys really were communicating in the huddle about just making it one possession at a time. And then when it got to the 14 and we came out of the huddle without the communication, I think that's when things changed a little bit for our guys. And you know, we play tomorrow. Also being smart about the guys' minutes in that situation is also necessary."
