On the offense clicking after the second quarter:
"I really think it was our defense creating some early easy offensive looks. We were able to get downhill, attack the basket, and then we were able to get the spray outs for feet set threes. I thought our guys did a great job of sharing it, moving it, trusting the pass, and just trusting their teammates."
On setting a new franchise record for three-pointers made and the work behind it:
"I thought it was great. I think the guys did a great job at practice yesterday. Understanding the shots we were going to get versus this team. Our coaches did a great job of getting these guys set up in the right situation, right spaces, and guys were confident and comfortable setting their feet down and being ready to knock down shots."
On Paolo Banchero's aggressive and assertive start:
"I love how he got settled into the game. Started off being very aggressive early, getting downhill, attacking the basket when he's open, stepping into his shot, finding guys, knowing how they were guarding him. I thought he did a great job finding teammates, but I just overall our team, I think we just did a very good job of trusting our defense to lead to our offense, and that was why the ball was hopping the way it was."
On Jevon Carter stepping up quickly after joining the team:
"He's about the right things. He's about winning. He's about team. He's about playing the right way. You saw as soon as he stepped on the court, it was pick up full court. Talking in the huddles, getting the eyes in the right spots, stepping in with confidence to his shot. But again, he's about all the right things. He's about winning. He's about toughness. He fits exactly what we do here with the Magic, just being able to hard-nose defense, creating your offense on the other end."
On starting the post-All-Star break West Coast trip with a win:
"I think it's a great start. I think it's a thing we can learn from. There's some things that we can clean up obviously and got a tough Phoenix team coming up that we'll have to be ready for, but I love how our guys started this trip and the energy that they provided and knowing that we're going to have to continue to work and take it one game at a time."
