The Orlando Magic are entering the 2026-27 season with eight nationally televised games on their schedule (10 including the preseason), and while that may not be as many as other teams in the league, the opponents they face are worth previewing.

Recently, I detailed the Magic’s four opponents they will face on national TV during the first half of the season, including the two preseason games in which they will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in consecutive nationally televised contests.

In the second half of the year, Orlando is scheduled to have its remaining six games aired nationwide, and five of those games will be in March. Let’s identify the opponents:

The Magic’s first National TV game in the second half of the season will be against the Miami Heat on ESPN on March 10, marking their first such game in the new year to be broadcast on a national provider.

It is the second scheduled regular-season meeting between the two after Orlando hosts the Heat on Feb. 12. For the Magic, it will be another test against Miami’s new-look lineup featuring Giannis Antetokounmpo, Klay Thompson and Bobby Portis.

Last season, Orlando went undefeated against the Heat in five regular-season contests and two preseason contests. The Magic will then receive a consecutive nationally televised game when they visit the Atlanta Hawks, another Southeast Division rival, on March 13 on Prime.

While Orlando was able to enjoy great success against Miami, the tables were turned against Atlanta as the Magic were swept 4-0. The Hawks are continuing to build success in their post-Trae Young era and will undoubtedly serve as another difficult opponent for Orlando.

On March 22, the Magic will host the Indiana Pacers on Peacock.

Last season, Indiana was a shell of itself without Tyrese Haliburton on the floor. However, Orlando lost in its final game against them. 

Now, with Haliburton returning and the additions of Ivica Zubac and Kelly Oubre Jr., the Pacers are poised to make a comeback and prove why they were able to push the Oklahoma City Thunder to a Game 7 in the 2025 NBA Finals.

To conclude the month of March, the Magic will host the defending champion New York Knicks for two consecutive games on March 28 and 30, which will be televised on ESPN and NBC, respectively. 

The games will serve as the finale for a three-game series between the two teams next season. Last season, Orlando split a four-game series with New York during the regular season but fell to the Knicks in the Emirates NBA Cup Semifinals. 

The Magic will have the opportunity to defend home court and show they can hang with the champs.

In the waning days of the 2026-27 campaign, Orlando will host the Heat one more time on April 5, and it will be televised on Peacock.

The game will mark the third of four regular-season meetings between the two before the Magic conclude the season by visiting the Heat on April 11. Both games may have big implications given where both teams sit in the standings, not just in the Southeast Division, but in the overall landscape of the league.
