New Potential Magic Trade Targets Revealed For 2026 cover image

The Orlando Magic's solid season will presumably encourage the team to make a deal prior to the trade deadline even with the team's lack of future draft capital. There seems to be a multitude of stars available in trade discussions as we enter the new year.

Bleacher Report released an article, highlighting three potential trade targets for every NBA franchise. The Magic's first target: Washington Wizards wing Corey Kispert.

"Another wing player who can sling it from beyond the arc would help the Orlando Magic glitz up an offense that remains not yet good enough, the article wrote. "Orlando's likely attempt to evade the tax complicates any search, as does head coach Jamahl Mosely's reluctance to play offense-only types. Complicated does not mean impossible. Corey Kispert isn't conventionally lights-out, but he also keeps defenses on their toes when in motion and remains an underrated finisher at the cup. Building a deal around Jonathan Issac and Jett Howard lands Kispert and gets the Magic out of the tax. They'd need to compensate the Washington Wizards accordingly, though."

Kispert is a former first-round pick who has been solid in Washington throughout his career but has never taken the next step. His shooting splits would drastically help improve the Magic's perimeter shooting woes. Parting with Jonathan Isaac and Jett Howard could be a solid deal.

Bleacher Report also suggests Utah Jazz wing Svi Mykhailiuk as a trade target.

"Netting useful role players at discounts will be crucial for Orlando as its core expenses balloon," the article added. "It can begin the process by going after Svi Mykhailiuk. The 28-year-old has spent large swathes of this season on a heater from distance. At 6'7", he's bigger than you think, and his contract keeps him on the books through 2027-28 at an average annual value of less than 2.5 percent of the cap."

Mykhailiuk has bounced around the league throughout his career but with his inexpensive contract and solid splits this season, he could be an attractive target for Orlando. The Jazz are not competing in the Western Conference and seem likely to part with some of their pieces. If Mykhailiuk isn't the right player from Utah to acquire, Bleacher Report also suggests Jazz forward Brice Sensabuagh as a trade target.

"If the Utah Jazz won't part with him, the Magic should pivot to Brice Sensabaugh," the article concluded. "His defense is all over the place, to put it kindly. But he can set the world on fire from the perimeter and has another cost-controlled year left on his rookie scale."

Sensabaugh is much younger and could build his game alongside the young core of Jase Richardson, Tristan da Silva and Noah Penda.
