LAST GAME:
Cam Thomas scored 34 points in 25 minutes off the bench, as Milwaukee defeated Orlando 116-108 at Kia Center. Kevin Porter Jr. tallied a triple-double for the Bucks with 18 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds while Jericho Sims had a career-high 17 points and 11 rebounds. Ousmane Dieng had 17 points off the bench, including 5-of-8 from three-point range. Desmond Bane led the Magic with 31 points, including 8-of-11 from three-point range, while Jalen Suggs added 16 points, 10 assists, four steals and three blocked shots. Milwaukee outrebounded Orlando, 47-30, and was a perfect 24-of-24 from the free throw line, the most ever made by an opponent without a miss in team history. With the score tied at 106, Paolo Banchero missed a fastbreak dunk with 1:48 left that would have given the Magic the lead. From that point on, Milwaukee closed the game with a 10-2 run, capped off by a pair of three-pointers by Myles Turner and Thomas. The Magic lost despite going 20-of-47 from three-point range and committing only nine turnovers.

QUOTABLE
Magic team statement on forward Franz Wagner being out indefinitely with ankle injury: “Recent imaging confirmed Wagner requires additional time and rehabilitation before returning to full basketball activities,” the team stated. “He will be re-evaluated in approximately three weeks.”
Magic general manager Jeff Weltman on the injury issues: “I mean, it's concerning, you know. Look, every team has injuries, you know, but it's having these prolonged injuries. You know, all I can say is these are soft tissue injuries. There's nothing, you know, what can you say? It's the NBA, and this is what happens sometimes. And I do feel like we're a little bit Groundhog Day this season. You know, the only thing is, I also think we're better this year because, you know, we added Desmond Bane. And so, I hate to keep saying it, but when this team has been healthy, it's been really good. And there does come a point where it's like, how long can you wait for that? Are we there yet?”
