Desmond Bane poured in 35 points, including 11 points during the fourth quarter, as the Orlando Magic defeated Cleveland, 128-122, at Kia Center. It was Orlando’s fifth straight victory. All five Magic starters scored in double figures. Paolo Banchero tallied 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, while Tristan da Silva netted a season-high 23 points. James Harden led six Cavaliers in double figures with 30 points, while Donovan Mitchell netted 25 points. Orlando shot 51.8 percent from the floor, dished out 29 assists and had only six turnovers. The Magic held a 115-102 lead with 4:43 remaining in the game. Cleveland responded with an 18-7 run, capped off by a Mitchell three-pointer with 38.5 seconds left to trim the deficit to 122-120. However, Bane nailed a three-pointer from the right wing with 18.3 seconds left and a pair of free throws with eight seconds remaining to seal the win for Orlando.

Magic coach Jamahl Mosley on the recent win against the Cleveland Cavaliers: "Down the stretch it did come down to shot making. They hit some big time shots. Now, mind you, we had a couple mishaps defensively that allowed them to get to that, but that's what Donovan does. That's what James does. Keon came and played big minutes for them. I thought he was really good. But I think Jaylen did a hell of a job defensively on Donovan throughout the game. I thought that was big for us in that situation. Being able to defend these guys is tough."
