Banchero acknowledges crucial mistakes and missed opportunities. He's focused on a quick home bounce-back against Charlotte, demanding a better performance.

On what he saw in the final several minutes that gave Philly the momentum:

"Oh yeah, I think we just made some crucial mistakes that they capitalized on. I think we had some opportunities to make some big plays and take the lead and we just came up short."

On whether it felt like every time they got within four or five points, Philly hit another shot:

"Yeah, like I said, they made plays at crucial moments and there were a couple plays in the game where we could have switched the momentum around and we just came up short. We were playing a team on the road and they're able to capitalize like that. The crowd gets going and they get energized. So, just a tough game."

On how to bounce back from this loss and what the team should change to get better:

"Yeah, I think you just bounce back by coming in Friday at home and getting the win against Charlotte. That's the goal now. This is the result. You got to move on and go get a win on Friday."

On the shots and offensive process tonight:

"Yeah, I thought we had good looks throughout the game. Obviously we didn't shoot well. I didn't shoot well. So that's tough, but I didn't think it was terrible. I thought Dez had it going and it's on me and other guys to be able to perform at a level to where we can get that win. He brought it, including myself, just not making shots and coming up short today."

On overcoming the frustration of getting good shots that aren't falling, especially in these high-pressure games:

"You just live with the result and come out Friday in front of the home crowd and go get a win. That's all you can do. Shots didn't fall but can't be discouraged. We got another game coming up real soon."

On what he needs to do to break down defensive attention and get out of shooting slumps:

"Yeah, I think just continue to try to make quick decisions. Don't hesitate. I think I had some looks in the start of the second half that I didn't shoot. When you do that, the basketball gods aren't going to reward you. Then I had another couple of shots that felt good that didn't go in. So, just a frustrating night for sure for me. Coming in Friday, you got to come in with a clear mind and go do what you got to do to win the game. At the end of the day, I've been through slumps before so you got to be able to respond in a way that results in a win."

On the Hornets and their season:

"Yeah, they've been playing really well. They've kicked our ass this year. So we got to be ready. I got to be ready. We have to be locked in from the jump. I thought we played hard tonight but it wasn't enough. It's going to take even more of an effort and it's going to take me playing better as well for us to get the win. So it's definitely a big game on Friday.

"On his message to the fans at the Kia Center for Friday's game:

"You're just going to need them to be loud, playoff environment, and be there so we're able to feed off that momentum. I hope they're ready to show up. It's going to be a good game on Friday and we need to get the win."
