The Orlando Magic got routed by the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday, 130-111. Afterward, Orlando Magic coach Jamahl Mosley reacted to the outcome.

On what changed late in the first quarter and early in the second quarter:

"Yeah, I think a couple of times we got downhill, didn't get a couple of calls. They were able to get out on the break. We turned it over a couple of times, just leading to their easy transition baskets.

"They opened it up with some three-pointers. We missed a couple. Then our ability to not sprint back in transition allowed them to get some early easy baskets, a close game, and then it just ballooned."

On What Led to His Ejection:

"Yeah, I got to be better for our group in that situation. Listen, I thought we went to the basket up a couple of times, didn't get a couple of calls that were very similar on the other end, and just the level of consistency in that. So that's what I was fighting for our guys, to be able to see that if we're going to play a physical style of basketball, which we do, that.

"I'm okay with it being called on the other end, as long as we're getting the same call on our end. Again, our guys wanted to continue to fight, keep fighting no matter what's going on in the game. And I've got to be better in that situation to not put us up against the wall there."

On How Difficult it Can Be on the Bench With Injuries to Starters and What Can be Done to Adjust:

"Yeah, I think we'll go back and look at it. We've got the Lakers coming up, so our ability to maybe make some subs a little quicker, get guys in there with different units. But again, it's got to be our defensive mindset that's got to kick in.

Our physicality has got to be there, regardless of whether we're getting calls or not. Our defense has got to set the tone from the beginning of the game. And knowing going against a team like this, offensive-minded, they can get out in the open court.

We've got to make sure we sit down, guard, keep the ball in front of us, rebound the basketball to not let them get easy baskets. I think that was a big key of it. But we'll continue to take a look at things. And hopefully, we start to get some guys back, so not pressing so much on the guys in that starting line."

On Being Able to Return to the Home Fans:

"Yeah, just in front of our home fans, just to be able to scrap, to be able to continue to fight, play with that sense of intensity, urgency, joy for one another together. I think all those pieces are key.

"But again, it's got to be our defense that sets the tone, and then our ability to keep moving and sharing the basketball. And I think that that urgency that we need to continue to play with nightly is going to be very important down the stretch."
