On Tristan da Silva's contributions, including his block and offensive rebound in overtime (Jamahl Mosley):
"We talked about it in pregame about the guys that do the little things within the game and Tristan did that tonight. Big time rebound, big-time block shot, made the big shot in the corner when we needed it. Similar to last night. He's just continues to step into his own with that level of confidence, the guys believing in him and him believing in himself and putting that work in. Got to give him a big shout out for what he did tonight for us."
On the frustrating fourth quarter on the second night of a back-to-back (Jamahl Mosley):
"Second night of a back-to-back takes place. Our guys got ahead a little bit. They did a great job of playing with pace, playing with speed, coverages, trying to keep guys in front of us. You got to give Washington a ton of credit. They've been dealing with over the past couple days. They came out and played hard and that was a big portion of it."
On Jalen Suggs' energy, big shots in overtime, and season-high performance while playing under control and passing the ball:
"When Jalen's playing under control and poised, he adds such a big time element to our team both defensively and offensively. When he gets us organized and running the right set defensively, picking up the ball, keeping guys in front of them, all those little things, making big time plays. That's what we need him to do consistently. That's what he'll have to continue to be for us."
On Jonathan Isaac left knee sprain and initial reaction:
"He’s got a left knee sprain. He’ll be re-evaluated tomorrow. My heart dropped. Especially the way he went down. Prayfully, God willing, he’s okay. That initial reaction was just that and that took a lot of what it was during this game out of me, out of our players. It took a lot of the energy out of the group because they know one of their brothers goes down, especially Ji who we know what he’s been through. Just continue to pray for him and where he is with what’s going on."
On the importance of details, focus, ball movement, and defensive lock-in in a game like this (Jamahl Mosley):
"It's more about us in these games. Understanding Washington was going to come play hard. They've been through over the past couple days, they've been hearing it, so they came out, played hard, but it is about us and what we need to do in these moments. Defensively, we didn't do the things we needed to do and there's a reason they had 14 offensive rebounds, didn't finish possessions, they got to the paint, 52 points in the paint, little situations like that. They were able to knock down some threes. All of those things that we talk about doing, they were able to do second night of a back-to-back. That's also the part of it that you have to find a way to get the job done. It may not be pretty. There's things that we'll have to clean up in this situation, but getting the job done is what's necessary for us tonight."
