Orlando's defense clamps down and Banchero ignites offense, fueling a dominant fourth straight victory and building serious late-season momentum.

It took time, but things finally seem to be clicking for the Orlando Magic. They won their fourth straight game Monday in dominant fashion over the Milwaukee Bucks, 130-91.

The game returned the Magic to their basics, strong defense and efficient offense.

Now 35-28 on the season, Orlando appears to be building late-season momentum. Here are three key takeaways from the win.

Defense Wins Games:

As coach Jamahl Mosley has said all season, this team’s ability to win the games it is supposed to win comes down to defensive effort. That effort showed in this one. The Magic held the Bucks to 91 points, including just 15 in both the first and third quarters, which allowed Orlando to pull away.

"I think it was a defensive clinic in a lot of ways,” Mosley said after the win. “Our guys did an unbelievable job of starting the game off the right way with intention, physicality, urgency, knowing exactly how we needed to start the game off. Our coaches did a great job of the scout, guys locked into what their assignments were, but again, I'm just keep hanging our hat on the defensive end, which also sparked our offense, and we were able to get out on the break and get some early easy baskets."

Paolo Banchero Returning to Form:

Magic forward Paolo Banchero has been on a tear lately, and this win was no exception. He scored 33 points with five rebounds and three assists while shooting an efficient 12 of 16 from the field.

It marked Banchero’s second 30-point performance in five games. With Franz Wagner still out, Banchero must continue playing at a superstar level for the Magic to keep the streak alive.

"You can see the energy behind him on the bench,” Mosley said about Banchero. “The high fives, him getting downhill, attacking the basket, getting to the free throw line. All those little things make a big play for our group. Their ability to see what he's doing and follow suit. He was ultra-aggressive on both sides of the ball. I think that's really big for us moving forward."

The Desmond Bane Impact:

It’s hard to argue Desmond Bane has been the Magic’s most consistent factor this season, not only because of his availability but also for what he brings on the court, including veteran presence and offensive production.

Against the Bucks, he finished with 18 points and nine assists. That kind of playmaking leads to offensive performances like the one Orlando showcased.

Whether Bane scores 30-plus points or dishes out assists, he consistently factors into the Magic’s biggest offensive wins.

"I say it over and over again about him,” Mosley said about Bane.“He's just a winner and he's just going to find ways to win whether that's having to score 30 with no threes or if he's going to rack up nine assists because he's getting his teammates involved and getting downhill and making the right play. He just finds ways to win and he's that's what he's about and that's why he's been such a great pickup for us and this group."
