Not every Orlando Magic fan can make every game, so here are two worth considering next season.

The Orlando Magic’s 2026-27 schedule has been out for several weeks, and it has provided fans with the chance to circle on their calendars which games they want to attend.

For season ticket holders, this won’t be relevant, but for those who want to pick and choose, below are two games of note that will be worth being in the building for:

Feb. 2 vs. New Orleans

Usually, a game against the New Orleans Pelicans would not carry any weight. They have been a struggling team in the Western Conference, so there are no big implications for the Magic when playing them.

However, the matchups will carry a bit more weight this season.

Orlando will host the Pelicans on Feb. 2, which will give Magic fans a battle between former coach Jamahl Mosley and new coach Sean Sweeney. The teams will meet for the first time on Jan. 8 in New Orleans, so fans will have a reference point.

Mosley was dismissed by the Magic after five seasons at the helm, and his last act in Orlando ended in the squandering of a 3-1 first-round series lead in the playoffs against the No. 1-seeded Detroit Pistons. Just a day after the Magic’s elimination, Mosley’s tenure came to an end.

It did not take him long to secure a new job, as the Pelicans hired him on May 18. As he was with the Magic, Mosley is now tasked with getting a struggling organization back on track.

Meanwhile, Sweeney is inheriting a much better situation that Mosley helped construct. Orlando became a repeat postseason participant under Mosley, and now it is up to Sweeney — who is a first-time head coach — to elevate them further.

Seeing a clash between the Magic’s past and present will be an intriguing way to kick off February.

Feb. 12 vs. Miami

Less than two weeks after Orlando hosts New Orleans, it will welcome the Miami Heat to town for the first time during the regular season.

It feels weird that these two teams are meeting so late, given how early and often they met last season as division rivals, but this will be a fun and important test because, health permitting for both sides, it will truly be the first time the Magic are battling against Miami’s new-look roster that features Giannis Antetokounmpo, Klay Thompson and others.

For Orlando, any win against the Heat will be critical in its pursuit of the playoffs. Last season, the Magic were undefeated against Miami, but it will be much harder to accomplish that in the upcoming campaign.

If those without season tickets can only make certain games, these are two worth considering.
