The former Dallas Mavericks superstar is posting league-best numbers on the court, but rumors are spreading that put him at the center of controversy in his personal life.

Former Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic is at the center of online speculation about his relationship with fiancee Anamaria Goltes.

Fans have flooded the internet over recent months with rumors that the pair are separated as neither party has posted one another on social media.

Now TMZ reports that a possible split could be in the works as Goltes has filed a petition for child support. The couple has two daughters under the age of three together.

The petition does not seek custody, but it does detail how Goltes moved back to the couple's native Slovenia with the children in May of last year. Goltes is seeking "only child support and attorney fees," according to the report.

Doncic proposed to Goltes on July 7, 2023 after the couple had been dating publicly since 2016. All posts featuring one another have been deleted from their respective Instagram accounts, including the photo celebrating their engagement.

Both do still have various posts on his feed that feature the children Gabriela, born Nov. 30, 2023 and Olivia, born Dec. 4, 2025.

Amid the speculation about the root of their rumored separation, fans of the Los Angeles Lakers star have pitched how his infamous trade from the Mavericks in February of last year might have affected his personal life off the court.

There is no concrete evidence as to what might've caused the apparent breakup between Doncic and Goltes.

On the court, Doncic has also shown signs of frustration, though his temper has never been thought of much in a mild manner.

As reported by ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Doncic has been fined $50,000 by the NBA for directing an "inappropriate and unprofessional gesture" toward a referee in the Lakers' last game, a win over the New York Knicks.

"With 4:35 remaining in the third quarter Sunday, Doncic attempted to draw a charge on Knicks forward Mohamed Diawara but was whistled for a blocking foul," McMenamin recalls.

"While Doncic was on the floor after absorbing the contact from Diawara, Doncic rubbed his fingers together -- making a money gesture -- as he looked at official Tre Maddox."

This is tension between Doncic and league officials is not a rare occurrence in his first full season in Los Angeles. Luka has been whistled for 15 technical fouls this year. With one more, he will automatically be suspended for one game.

This season, Doncic is averaging a league-leading 32.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game.
