Anamaria Goltes demands a massive payout and reduced visitation rights to settle her high-stakes legal clash with the NBA superstar as their private family drama turns public.
DALLAS - Dallas Mavs fans - and Luka Doncic himself - felt the pain of their breakup last year in the form of the club's trading of the perennial All-Star to the Los Angeles Lakers.
But this is a different sort of breakup.
And a different sort of pain.
Doncic is entangled with former fiancée Anamaria Goltes in a child custody battle that she is now reportedly willing to settle ...
If the iconic star will just give her $50 million.
Oh, and also, if he will relinquish some of his custody rights.
Goltes has apparently informed Doncic and his people that she will drop her case against the six-time NBA All-Star if he agrees to fork over a paltry $50 million, according to a report from TMZ, citing “sources with direct knowledge.”
Her position, it seems, is that 80 percent of that payoff would be for her, with the other 20 percent going to their two children.
Additionally, Goltes is suggesting in her proposed settlement that Doncic reduce his time overseeing their two daughters from two days a week to just one.
Doncic, 27, has previously stated that he intends to fight to retain his rights as a father of two-year-old Gabriela and months-old Olivia.
"I love my daughters more than anything, and they will always be the most important in my life,'' Doncic recently said in explaining why he won't be playing with the Slovenian national team, opting instead to spend this summer with his daughters.'
Doncic has planned to host a four-day minicamp in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from August 20 to 24, with LA Lakers players in attendance.
Goltes, a model in the couple's native Slovenia, went public with her issues with Doncic early this spring, when she filed a petition for child support from him in a Los Angeles County court.
But now, via her legal team's statement, she is prepared to resolve things “amicably and by a mutual agreement which is in the best interests of our children.”
Another hearing in the case involving Doncic and Goltes - who began dating in their teenage years - is slated for August 14.
