Cooper Flagg and his family will take on Barstool Sports on Celebrity Family Feud in a charity matchup airing Thursday on ABC.

Cooper Flagg spent his rookie year proving he could handle whatever the NBA threw at him. Thursday night, he faces a different kind of pressure. Steve Harvey, a buzzer and Dave Portnoy.

Flagg and his family will appear on Celebrity Family Feud this week, squaring off against Barstool Sports in a charity matchup that airs Thursday, July 23, at 7 p.m. CT on ABC. The episode will be available to stream the following day on Hulu.

Team Flagg is a full family affair. Cooper is joined by his twin brother, Ace, who plays at the University of Maine, older brother Hunter, parents Kelly and Ralph and his grandfather, known as “Papa Flagg.”

On the other side is Barstool, represented by founder Dave Portnoy alongside personalities Kirk Minihane, Ryan Whitney, Jerry Thornton and Rico Bosco. That group should not be underestimated in this format. Barstool runs The Dozen, its own in-house trivia league and several of the contestants regularly compete on the show. They will walk onto the Family Feud stage with more competitive trivia experience than most celebrity teams.

If you have watched Barstool content, you also know the energy the group will bring to a game show set.

The stakes go beyond bragging rights and the cause is deeply personal for the Flagg family. Cooper's older brother, Hunter, was born prematurely in 2004 and spent 109 days in the neonatal intensive care unit in Portland, Maine. With the family's home 90 minutes away, the Ronald McDonald House is where Kelly and Ralph stayed during that time.

The family has given back ever since, including a $10,000 donation to the Durham chapter during Cooper's year at Duke. Barstool, meanwhile, is competing on behalf of Lifeline Animal Project, based in Atlanta.

For Mavericks fans, the episode offers a chance to see a different side of the face of the franchise. Flagg is coming off a season in which he averaged 21 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists en route to Rookie of the Year honors. He is about to enter Year 2 with Kyrie Irving returning and a retooled roster around him.

Before all of that begins, Flagg gets a night to be a 19-year-old from Newport, Maine, hanging out with his family on national television.
