The Brooklyn Nets have a losing streak to snap. And a chance to earn this first victory in the new year.
They must overcome the New Year's Day loss quick -- as Friday presents a back-to-back for the franchise.
The Nets will travel down to the nation's capitol to take on the Washington Wizards. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.
So how are fans able to tune into the action?
Once again, the YES Network will be airing the Nets as the flagship station for Brooklyn. Either Ian Eagle or son Noah handle all the play-by-play duties for Brooklyn. NBA legend and past Nets star Vince Carter instills his knowledge and thoughts as color commentator.
But YES isn't the only option. NBA League Pass offers the premium at $114.99 which features a non-commercial format and more in-arena access. The cheaper route is the standard -- offered at $79.99 but features commercials and less in-arena access fans want.
There's one more watch option, though. This one offered in D.C.
Monumental Sports and Entertainment is the home of Wizards games. Monumental is a streaming service that offers various watch options.
An annual plan at $179.99 is offered, but fans can pivot to a monthly plan offered at $19.99. Fans who chose Monumental can also unlock ticket discounts through Ticketmaster.
The Nets enter this Atlantic showdown at 10-21 overall. Brooklyn not long ago ended December winning seven of its last 11 games. Except the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets put on 120 points in the Nets' losses.
Reserve Cam Thomas led the Nets with 21 points -- drawing praise from former Brooklyn star Kevin Durant.
Erik Slater of ClutchPoints reports that Thomas is sitting with a left hamstring injury. Lead scorer Michael Porter Jr. is another who's out due to an illness. Top rebounder Nic Claxton is another who won't suit up due to what's described as personal reasons.
Egor Demin is expected to play, though, after dealing with a lower back ailment. Terence Mann is another listed as probable following his right hip contusion.
The Nets likely will see a lot more of Drake Powell, who got the start Thursday. Fellow rookie Nolan Traore is another who's anticipated to earn more minutes especially with Thomas not in the lineup. Both the Nets and Wizards are currently positioned to eventually land an NBA Lottery Pick with sub .500 records.
